Very brave act by the lad getting out of the car to confront two probably armed toe rags.

Respect where it’s due
Both Ozil's and Kolasinac's wives were in the car apparently so I do not blame Ozil for trying to get them out of harms way. Bravery from Kolasinac and hopefully all involved are physically OK.

Fair f'ing play to him. Takes some guts and shows the steel of the man when that decision gets made in a split decision.

S-H, these decisions get made in a split decision, I'm not sure this would make someone who wouldn't usually react in this way decide to fight instead of run because Kolasinac did. You either have it or you don't. I don't!

Absolutely, Denz, balls of steel, and fair play to him, like you say it takes a certain type to stand their ground, unarmed, in knife attack.

Just hope we don't see some have-a-go heroes trying to emulate him on the back of the publicity this is receiving.

Fight or flight.. its not something you sit there and think about.

Just happens.

I'm not so sure, back in my yoof I would fight.

Now though, I have responsibilities, people who depend on me, I would definitely think twice about flight, unless of course my family were in danger.

Until you are in that position though, I guess it's impossible to know how you'd react.

So the geezer definitely deserves all the praise coming his way, just glad no one was hurt.

I love how the fella at the back slams the breaks on and his feet start going into reverse when he sees a lump running at him. One of those "it was at this moment he knew that he had f'ed up" moments.

Definitely. Also easy to underestimate the size and bulk of a lot of footballers, especially modern footballers given how professional the game has become, if you only ever see them on TV competing against their peers.

I remember seeing Sol Campbell wandering around a supermarket in the late-90s and, for a split-second before I recognised him, was convinced he must be a boxer based on his build alone.

They'll know they ****ed up when they realise they had targeted someone famous (assuming they didn't know) - as this will get far more publicity and hence effort to track them down..

Ozil is a coward for not getting out and fighting someone with a knife? Oh yeah, I forgot we were West Ham and we’re all “double hard”. Get ****ed you bunch of moronic neanderthals. I’d love to see the roles reversed with some of you on here.

Only one poster on here has actually criticised Ozil, the hot weather is getting to some of you.

I just love the football factory-esque bouncing round on his toes from Kolasinac.

Fairplay, and as others have said, you can't really have a pop at Ozil for not getting out the car, leaving there wives inside on their own, to fight 2 guys with knives.
