not sure about that mate, from what I saw of the replays it wasn't as if the ball changed track right into Jesus' path at all..didn't seem to do anything at all by the touch.

letter of the law as they say..but the touch was so slight no one in the commentary booth saw it, or the ref, or even Spurs players made a fuss.....

I think a big issue with VAR is referees and linesman are allowing goals theyd usually put the flag up for, which means we then have to check VAR for it to be correctly ruled out.

Brighton's goal today is a prime example, last season the flag goes up and that's that.

Let the referees referee, and VAR can check the replays once or twice only to see if there was an error. Referees are bottling decisions in case VAR proves they made the wrong call and its leading to 3 or 4 ruled out goals a week, its needless.

Valencia home to R Sociedad

1-0 - 8 minutes added on due to VAR etc.

Valencia get a p.k. player sticks it in Row ZZZ

free kick outside box to RSO Cocelin has his arm up, ball hits his hand, penalty in the 100th minute - goal

1-1

It is interesting they go out of their way to only punish attacking teams with this new handball rule.

Yeah, keeps us in the title race.

Leganes v Osasuna

Martin Braithwaite scores a rebound and piles into the crowd.

after about 1 and a half minutes it seems, ref beckons him back. crowd are really going.

oh wait...hand ball on VAR ? wait...another Man City handball where no one but no one claims it.

touched an arm on the way through to the bloke whose header was initially saved.

like I say, no one, commentary, ref, opposing players, no one claimed hand ball.

except VAR

final score 0-1

MOTD starts by showing Man City and Liverpool goals from last week. The media really do want to alienate all the smaller clubs as much as possible.

Not sure about all this VAR bollox. But this game has shown that not all teams will lie down and let City tear them apart.

although I hate spurs I am glad city didn't win. starting to hate them now with their arrogance and snidey fouls

also motd just think everyone watches the programme to see the top 6. it would be nice to see more orf the rest and even it up. too much to ask for I know.

Was happy to see Sterling getting booked for a typical Manchester City professional snidey foul yesterday.

agree. quite early in the game as well. The publicity about this last week has obviously been noticed by the refs. They did it very little after that yellow. Thought spuds played no better than us against city but made the most of their (very few) chances

What a crappy game, blunts v palarse. Thought I was watching MMA at times. McCarthy really is a scrote. I would like to see him sent off soon. A draw would have been better but not heartbroken to see Palace lose. :thdn:
