So, after 4 games, quite a mixed bag 4, where do you think we will finish now? I must admit after the City game I really couldn't see us higher than around 12th or so. Now I think more like 8th. (Although it has to said I am one of those people who swing wildly in outlook from good performance to bad performance).

I said 7th before the season began , no reason to change my mind after 4 games .
Mind you , if Haller were to get injured again.....

Anywhere between 6th-9th and I'll be happy for this season

There is potential to finish 5th or 6th.
I think we will finish 7th or 8th.
We could finish 9th or 10th.

in with a sniff of qualifying for europe (7th - 9th)
In with a chance on the last day of the season where we entertain A Villa. A Villa have just recently employed a Mr S Alladyce after a disastrous season and need a win to avoid relegation. After defending for 80 mins, Villa get their first corner of the game. It comes into the box, where Haller wellies it clear but straight on to Grealish's backside and the ball bobbles into the net.
At the end of the game, Alladyce is seen doing a lap of honour, naked whilst cupping his ears.

Top half with a slight improvement on last year's finishing position. A positive goal difference would be good as well.

6 or 7th if we keep haller, lanzini,Rice and Anderson fit for 90 per cent of the season, i thought we were brilliant second half Sat and Haller looks the real deal.
however Haller gets a bad injury i can see us ending up 12th/13th or worse

I thought 10th, would probably move it up a notch to 9th since Haller seems to have settled quickly.

I'm hoping the manager can install the one ingredient we need to become a better team - consistency.
I am sick of beating a top six side one week and losing to a bottom six side the next week.
Lets start getting points from both games and we can look at a much higher finish.
It may not be realistic but I want 60 points and 60 goals and 13 clean sheets (the least likely of the three).
All three of those and we will be in a decent league position.

We could trouble the top 8, can't see us getting much higher than 7th at the very best. Alternatively, it would be no surprise to see us 10th to 12th.
You could probably cut and paste that for most seasons .

I haven't really changed my view on us and our capabilities since the season started, we are still in that void of about 5 teams who could do well if things like injuries and fixture pile ups go well.
What has changed is my surprise at just how poor Chelsea have been. I really do think there is a good chance that one of us, Everton, Wolves or Leicester could break into that top 6 in place of Chelsea this season, we have as good a chance as any so long as Haller keeps fit and keeps scoring.

Man Utd, Chelsea and (to some extent) Arsenal all look weak this season compared to usual. There is definitely potential there for one of those outside teams like Wolves, Everton, Leicester or ourselves to break the top 6 or even the top 4.
However, I don’t think it’ll be us. Our defense isn’t good enough, we are still mentally pretty weak if we spend even ten minutes without our captain, and if we got injuries in a few key positions (DM and striker especially) we’d be screwed.
I’ll stick with my prediction of us finishing in 9th.

6th. King Haller to win the golden boot.
