Welcome to the new KUMB Forum

Post by Up the Junction » Fri Sep 06, 2019 12:23 am

I hope you all enjoy it. My thanks to janus for his invaluable assistance in getting this done.

Please also take a look around the rest of the site by using the main menu above; I'm aware there are one or two issues still to be resolved, but we're 99 per cent there now.

Feel free to leave your feedback (including any problems you may encounter) below.

Have a look to the "Quick links" on the left top and for the users panel, click on your name in the right top

And look if your board time is OK
ucp.php?i=165

utc+1
And than Europe/London

At last we have lift off. Had a few issues earlier, could read the news items on the home page but could not get on the forum boards, kept coming up with some error message jargon. Wasn't sure if it was a problem with my phone settings or not. Also think I need to redo a PM because I don't think it got sent or saved.

Looks great. Any chance you can make the font size considerably bigger in the forum and in the actual content? The site looks modern and fresh but the fonts still look 1999 if you know what I mean.

I am having to use 120% zoom and it zooms the whole site instead of just the content text.

I have mucked about with it in developer console and with tweaks to about 3 sizes in the css made it much more readable (to me anyway)

Cracking new logo by the way.

So far looks good

My two things I hoped would be here seem to be! I tried quoting someone who quoted someone else and it just quoted the one message so winning

The notifications will obvs test soon but has the option to let you know when you get quoted so tick

Also looks much much much cleaner and nicer via a mobile device

Came on to post last night couldn't get on but assumed the new forum was on its way

Excellent work

Loving the mobile format. You’ll see I haven’t posted much for the length of time I’ve been a member, I’m always browsing on my mobile!

I’m sure I’ll be posting more with this new easier to use format. Looks fantastic. Great work guys.

It’s great UtJ, really like it - especially reading both the main site and the forum on a mobile. I’m sure a tonne of work has gone into it, thank you 👍

Looks good save for all of the control buttons have been made for old people like me - a bit like those simple phones with big buttons, while the text area is made for 12 year olds with perfect eyesight, but us oldies can't read, same as the text messages we get from the bowling club on our mobile telephony equipment .
