Minor point, but the login option to hide one's online status appears not to be hiding one's online status any more.

The 'Preview' option when posting, doesn't seem to be working today.

I love the look and feel of the new site but the text is too small for me on my laptop. I have tried to access the User Control Panel but all I get is error messages:

I have to say, I find it much more difficult to navigate on my phone.

Following a link to an archived thread logged me out.

Ditto with the preview and online status issues.

Initial thoughts - absolutely hate it. It feels unfamiliar.

On the other hand the old layout has needed an update since about 2004 so I can't complain. Sure I'll get used to it, and in objective terms it is an infinitely more pleasing design.

I think other people have mentioned it but thread titles are kinda hard to read. The last post by whoever is what jumps out at you. Maybe a bolder font, or bigger?

It is somewhere in the tread, you can adjust the font in your UCP
ucp.php?i=165

Some people mentioned there's not enough claret (I agree), others say the thread titles are hard to distinguish.

Two birds with one stone, make the thread titles claret :scarfer:

Agree about the need to differentiate titles and 2nd line.

Also feel there's a wee bit too much header on the forum page at the moment:
1. Quick links etc
2. facebook, contact us
3 - 6 (approx) Kumb logo
7. Menu
8. Separator line
9. Breadcrumb bar
10. Title of board
11. list of mods
12 New topic button etc
13. List of pages
14. Announcements bar
15. An announcement
16. Topics heading

That's the equivalent of the space of 8-10 more threads on that page. I'm not saying we need that many more threads, but the page just feels a bit top heavy at the monent. On mobile, having two hamburger menus (quick links and the main menu) is also a bit unintuitive as well

Yes the thread titles should stand out more for me. As a previous poster has said, the last poster underneath the thread title stands out more than the thread title itself. I think the forum would look better if the thread title was bigger and bold, and the last poster was in regular text.

Sadly, it would appear the new site is still accessible from South America..

I can assure you it was absolutely essential.

Anything new, any change, takes a while to accommodate.

First try, wasn't that impressed, but over the course of the last few days I've got used to it, and now I think it looks great - very professional, very clean on the eye, and thankfully still frequented by our favourite contributors, who, like the fans, are the heart and soul of the forum.

Thanks UTJ, and keep up the (very) good work . . . :scarfer:

Tis true...

I've never liked the avatars on the right...........but I know if they go back to the left I will think it will be really weird looking.

The new site is clean cut. Sort of less is more in the visual sense and I think that "less is more" is nearly always good.

As I mentioned before.......the only downside for me is the thread title. I can't see it properly. I have to look twice, then squint, .....I'm older you see... like Mr Magoo..
