Sundays team will offer an "Oh **** in goal.......and a couple of mehs.
There to be comfortably beaten.

That's the fella , where did I get ' Ryan ' from I wonder ?
Re: ⚽ West Ham United v Manchester United: Match Thread
We won this fixture last season at a relative canter.
The fact they're the big team and will/should have a go, I think, suits us and plays to our counter attacking strengths.
We definitely have a great chance which feels good to be able to say considering the last god knows how many years.
3-1 again I think, Haller 2, Diop header from corner.

I might regret saying this but Man Utd are nothing special. I went to their game last Saturday (my wife supports Leicester, I also went to ours on Monday evening, busy weekend) and I wasn't that impressed (with either the Mancs or LCFC as it happens).
If we play well, I think we have a very good chance of beating them. They didn't create much at all and seemed content to soak up the LCFC pressure and attack on the break. That McTomany is pretty dirty. I am surprised Ole isn't getting a lot of stick like old Mourinho as it wasn't an entertaining performance from the Mancs at all. I know they were missing Pogba, Lingard and Martial so maybe they will improve when those 3 return.
Sounds like none of them are back for Sunday?

Lanzini will be a miss. I wonder if it will be Wilshere or Fornals in for him....

I think a draw, 2-2, which might be a little disappointing, but not disastrous, and would keep the unbeaten run going.

Anderson usually plays well against this lot.

I’d rather go with fornals than Wilshere as I’m certain Noble and Wilshere can’t be accommodated in the same team.

Re: ⚽ West Ham United v Manchester United: Match Thread
On paper, I honestly think this Man Utd side is a far cry from what they used to be. I had them to finish 7th before the season began, especially with OGS as manager. With Pogba and Martial missing, and them likely to not play Brighton/Burnley-style tactics, I just can't see us losing this match. I have the same level of confidence as I did when we were playing Norwich.
The chasing pack should kick themselves if they can't oust at least one of Man U, Chelsea and even Arsenal from the top 6 this season. All of them are nothing like they once were.

Call me a pessimist, but i cant ever really feel comfortable when taking on Man Utd.
They arent what they used to be, but they do have god players. It definitely helps that Pogba and Martial are out - probably two of their better players.
I'm going to go for a 1-1 here.

I prefer Fornals too.Georgee Paris wrote: ↑Fri Sep 20, 2019 8:20 pm I’d rather go with fornals than Wilshere as I’m certain Noble and Wilshere can’t be accommodated in the same team.
He’s miles better centrally than out wide too.

I don't think we've seen the best of Fornals yet, at least I hope we haven't!!
Cautiously optimistic but 45 years watching us, means there's always that little bit of doubt. If we're up for it, I can see a good 2-0 home win, hope so anyway.

Ben Johnson wasn't involved with the U23s tonight so expect he'll be on the bench on Sunday.
