Who else was there in the pissing rain in 1964 to see our marvellous 3-1 win at Hillsborough in 1964 at the FA Cup semi final against these ? We played them the week before at UP in a League match in totally different conditions and lost
I wasn't there for the semi, but went to the final.
Didn't we lose that one the week before by the same score 3-1? And got totally written off by the press for the semi.

Last minute equaliser from Davor Suker in 2000
I was there in the old West Lower for that. Back row, down near where the away supporters were. Worst view ever but the atmosphere was incredible. Had my Man U supporting girlfriend with me at the time. She was not impressed when our lot were giving the Mancs serious abuse, we went mental when that goal went in. Think she was the only one sitting down  Seem to remember they let their fans out 1st onto Green Street after the game as well. Hence why our fans gave a rousing rendition of "We're supposed to be at home" on the way out.

I was there for both matches and I think Noel Cantwell scored for them against us the League match. Might have been a penalty, cant quite recall now

It was like a quagmire, dare say they wouldn’t play in the same conditions now. Can still see the mud splattered smiling faces of the WHU players. Didn’t go to young.

Gary Breen in the 6-0 at OT. Possibly the worst defensive performance I have ever seen from a West Ham player. And that to paraphrase Bananarama is 'really saying something'. And wasn't he the ROI captain at the time?

To cap it all, I got lost on the way home trying to take a short cut to get around the traffic and ended up with a fine for speeding.

Have had better away days. You aren't far wrong either, Bob.

Florin's absolute beauty. Great goal. Shame he cared more about shopping.
That was it, '96 ,I think, nothing in it, then they went 2 up half way through the second half, and the drunken Scot was giving it the usual swagger, then we scored a blinder and then equalised with a Julian pen.
It felt like the roof was coming off ,we just went completely radio.

Happy, happy times.

Tevez with the goal he didn’t need to score to ensure survival
Reo Coker cupping the ear
Kenny Brown sending Taggart in to Near meltdown
Ludo gift wrapping the title to Tony Gale and Blackburn
Winston Reid’s winner Off Daley Blinds shoulder
Julian’s Penalty
Paulo in the Cup

My favourite Dimi turning to celebrate before that wonderful free kick is in .. In a Man City pub in Lanzarote the place erupted

Happy times hopefully Cresswell curls one in from 30 yards on Sunday and he gets a couple of inches of slack from the Scapegoat gang on here

Figured I'd write an article about it.

Done up like a kipper: the very worst of Manchester Utd

That brought back some very hurtful memories gaffer.

Apologies, Coops. Could've quite easily done a top ten, but that might've been too much to take.

The 4-0 in the snow. Few of us sitting in the Black Lion with a Manc fan and seeing the team come up on the TV and debating whether to bother even going. The Manc certain they would stuff us, and us not disagreeing TBF.

The rest is history. He wasn't so cocky when we got back to the pub :D

May 77. Last game of the season.
Absolutely jammed in the North Bank, non-drying paint all over my jeans and harrington as I tried to get on the girders for a better view.Should have paid attention to the signs.

Geoff Pike penalty, think Pop Robson got a couple, 4-2 to us, ha-ha mancs.

You see, there's another bit of Redknapp spin and lies that has stood the test of time and that our gullible fans swallowed hook, line and sinker, when the truth was, Florin was not included in the match day squad for that cup match at Stockport, so had every right to do whatever he wanted with his spare time. Yes, of course, he could've travelled up there with the squad and offered moral support, but he was under no obligation to do so
