To be fair, an elephant in goal would be a bugger to score against.Johnny Byrne's Boots wrote: ↑Wed Sep 25, 2019 8:06 pm "Tottenham Hotspur, got beat by a Zoo" chant the Hammers travelling fans

REALLY......looks like someone here may could probably may have nearly jinxed us..............41 mins: Rob Hall looks REALLY keen to make his mark against the club where he learnt his trade. He was a serious talent as a teenager, but injuries have unfortunately slowed his career a little.
However, he is fit again and at his hometown club, and will want to make up for lost time.
Here he drives through the midfield, but his left-foot shot is charged down by Balbuena.

I think Pop Robson should come in for Derek Hales in second half. But with only one sub.....

Now here's a jinx from the Club match blog..
It's now 478 minutes since West Ham conceded a goal, not including added time...

West ham are defending a corner.
They have brought back iain dowie to help out the defence. Iain renowned for his heading ability should be able to clear a high ball in to the box.

Can't even get radio in the US. Nightmare.
The only consolation is watching Manure labouring versus Rochdale on ESPN+.

Sounds like a very flat game.
I do wonder if how well we played Saturday is being overestimated because it was against Man U.
The Villa game was also a rather dull boring affair, whilst if we are honest so was the Man U game. Fortunately we producers two moments of quality to win the game (which rightly deserves credit), but overall it was a game that lacked intensity.
We seem to be quite content passing the ball around but often lack cutting edge, with the final pass being rather sloppy.
We will need to up our intensity, sooner rather than later.

BBC reporter.
This has got a bit of the Colchester /Spurs feel about it.
Lets hope Tommy Repka doesn't get sent off in the second half
