Roberto
Johnson Balbuena Diop Masuaku
Sanchez Wilshere
Yarmolenko Fornals Holland
Ajeti

Some game time for Yarmolenko and Fornals to get fit, hopefully Johnson is fit to start for the experience. I well earned rest for Ogbonna, and a chance for Holland to shine.

2-0 West Ham, Ajeti and Holland with their first goals.

If Oxford would batter what was our first choice back four last season bar the right back, 3 players in midfield who played yesterday, our two biggest youth prospects and our second striker then we have bigger problems than the cup.

No it wouldn't. It is about having two teams and the team posted a few posts further up the page, has enough youth and experience about it to get this job done and keep the automatic first choice regulars fresh for a difficult match at Bournemouth next Saturday

That team between them has 222 international caps.

It'd be some sort of calamity if it didn't have the necessary quality to dispatch Oxford.

every time we make that many changes, we struggle

As someone going to the game I want to see as few changes as possible

Roberto
Masuaku
Young portugese chap(name escapes me)
Balbuena(skipper)
Zaba
Wilshere
Sanchez
Snodgrass
Fornals
Youth player
Ajieti

That should.be enough to see them off

The voice of reason !. We have put teams out with countless international caps and slipped up innumerable times in our history.
We are on a rich run of form and want to captilise on that as this is our best chance of silverware.

I’m desperate to see Holland. If he doesn’t get a game here he should be on loan

As others have said, we now have the squad to make changes without significantly weakening the squad. I would go with:

————————Roberto—————————
Zaba—Balbuena—Ogbonna—Cress/Mas
—————Sanchez—Wilshere—————
—————————Fornals————————
Snodgrass———Ajeti————Holland

Cresswell or Masuaku depends on who Pellegrini thinks should start v Bournemouth. Whoever isn’t starting will start in this one. Tough call.

Snodgrass and Fornals can probably interchange throughout the match. Backline and midfield are still fairly strong and should have enough to see this one through

Whole sale changes best avoided but still need a bit of rotation

---‐------------------Roberto

Zabs -------balbena----diop----cresswell

-----‐-------sanchez ---- wilshere

Yarmelko ----------fornels -------anderson

----‐‐-------------------ajeti

Holland on bench for a run out

That should be enough

I think people are mostly calling the starting XI correctly....

Roberto: Johnson/Zabaleta: Masuaku: Diop: Balbuena: Sanchez: Snodgrass: Wilshere: Fornals: Holland: Ajeti.

We might struggle to score and I expect the bench to be very strong if we do.

Martin: Cresswell: Rice: Noble: Yarmolenko: Anderson: Haller.

I think we'll win (but lose on Saturday)

No.

I thought it was for some reason but just checked and it’s not.

Thanks.
Bit of a blow, these games can be impossible to get a stream for.
