Liverpool face threat of Carabao Cup expulsion (non-WHU)

Post by wolf359 » Sat Sep 28, 2019 10:55 am

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/49862651

"Liverpool could face expulsion from the Carabao Cup if they are found to have fielded an ineligible player in the victory against MK Dons on Wednesday.

The EFL is investigating possible issues with the international clearance of midfielder Pedro Chirivella, who came on as a substitute in the 2-0 win.

Sanctions could range from a fine to being ejected from the cup."

I'd hazard a guess but the chance of Liverpool being punished is slim to nil.

No we bloody didn't get kicked out! Incredibly the game was played again at our place and we lost! All thanks to twitchy, not Manny, in the first place! And Liverpool being expelled not a chance in hell. Victim united, could never happen.

They should be kicked out for singing that excruciating “Allez Allez Allez” dirge

“We’re loyal supporters”

If you Google "Mannygate" you can see the whole story, apparently it wasn't :arry: fault.....was it ever??

On a side note, was this the game where somebody was parachuting into the Boleyn, but hit the West Stand roof & broke his leg?

A couple of seasons ago Sunderland fielded an ineligible player in some league games and a league cup game.
I don't think they received any sanctions for it

Probably more likely they get the rules changed to retrospectively allow ineligible players to take part in the competition.

We have more chance of winning silverware than those cheating ****'s getting punished. The darlings of the British media, they are untouchable. Unless I missed it I don't recall them getting properly punished for that flare incident which hit a child with learning difficulties against Chelsea last season.
And what was that the other day about about them hacking into the Man City scouting system a few years ago. They paid up a million in compensation but that seems to have been swept under the carpet without much of a mention. It's no wonder not many fans of other clubs like them. Hate them with a passion.
