What that? the third goal VAR has given against us! Who’d have thought VAR would be good for us

We only have ourselves to blame. A terrible penalty given away and a lapse of concentration with VAR topping it off.
In addition, three very good chances to take the game in the first half that we didn't. We will never learn.

It’s unbearable how often we fail to seize the chance to take a step up
Re: ⚽ West Ham United v Crystal Palace: Match Thread
Crystal Palace are absolutely f*cking sh*t. No idea how they’ve just won that.
But VAR is even worse. Terrible for football.

Meh. One moment of quality....the rest of it we were mediocre.
We're not quick enough going forward with our game plan seemingly sauntering in and hoping a ball in the box finds the one man we have in there in Haller.

We got what we deserved. Too much of the match played at walking pace. Too many clear cut missed opportunities from players that are supposed to be able to score and no composure to see out a match. No excuse losing to such a one player driven side at home.

I don't really agree with that. It was a tight game, they get a dodgy penalty (whatever the new stupid ****ing rules say) and then a borderline goal given in their favour.TommyHammer wrote: ↑Sat Oct 05, 2019 7:25 pm We only have ourselves to blame. As for VAR; when it's that tight I think it has to go someway towards the on-field official's decision. If he keeps the flag down initially, it's a goal, if he flags, no goal.
VAR was supposed to be brought in to fix the howler. That wasn't.

Neither of the angles used by far show when the ball leaves the players head or am I missing something?
What is it with this club and choking it every time we something within our grasp?

We're getting the thin end with VAR just the same as we did without it.

Burnley Palace Leicester above us. We've been poor lately even against Man Utd. Hopefully we might replace a few. I'm starting to ask about Anderson myself. Lanzini poor.

Given the circumstances that was a pathetic performance by the team. If I had to single one man out? Lanzini..He was dreadful.

This is Nobles last year as a West Ham player. No way he plays every game this season. Way too slow now. We need a replacement and fast. Our midfield is going to be ****ed next season if Rice goes, and we still try and play Noble every game. I love him to bits, but enough's enough.
We should be smashing teams like Palace, especially at home. Last week and this week. Devastated I feel.

Just when you start to think that we are onto something as a club. Any time we get the chance to put our name in lights we bottle it as usual. Completely gifted them the win with stupid mistakes.
We have the talent in abundance but the mentality doesn’t seem to have changed.
