CL/Euro games this week

Post by Cuenca 'ammer » Tue Oct 01, 2019 7:39 pm

Real Madrid 1 Bruges 2 -82 minutes gone

Zidane must be under enormous pressure even if they win this one - battered away at PSG and this is Bruges we're talking about

Spurs/Bayern up this afternoon as well as Juventus/Leverkusen - think it's the Spurs game for me though....

Vormer for Bruges gets a second yellow so he's offski......from the resulting f-k, Casemeiro heads the equaliser (Mignolet in goal for Bruges)

popped over to the Beeb site and RM were down 0-2 !!!!

finished 2-2 - serious questions about Zidane; apparently he isn't getting on with the president..never a good sign..massive whistles from the crowd at f-t.

I feel for any side that plays Red Star Belgrade away. If you think Anfield is hostile, this place is nothing in comparison ~ It's something else on a completely new level

You know that move of City's where they ping the ball out wide and they fire a hard low cross across the face of the box and either Sterling or Aguerro are on the end of it to drill it in ? Well, Zagreb have dealt with threat really well, like no other team has been able to counter it and their keeper has not really been tested yet

how bloody quick is Gnabry ?

ran half the length of the field, cuts inside and lashes the ball into the far corner low down.....

1-3

Winks dispossessed, 2 goals in 2 minutes, Gnabry again....

1-4

Kane really whacks a penalty in 2-4 - this has everything.....

what a game....

Eriksen almost curls one in..

meanwhile elsewhere Juve 2-0 - and Pinky's mate Thomas Partey who had a stormer against Real on Sunday scores as Athletico go 0-2 up away from home.......

Not for the first time tonight that Zagreb centre back blocks that City cross from the left. No idea who he is but this geezer's been class all night and still it is the Zagreb fans who are making all the noise. They've been at it all night. Amazing support

https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/49885830

Argentine rivals River Plate and Boca Juniors will meet in Wednesday's Copa Libertadores semi-final, nine months after their controversial 2018 final.

that will be a nice dessert after tomorrow's CL games !!

I was laughing at Spurs getting thrashed at home....

But on reflection, the fact that I am surprised that they are getting beaten by a team like Bayern Munich in the Champions League, probably just says more about how far they've come. :|

Chuffin' Nora - yet again Gnabry gets on the end of a counter attack, great pass - has to be a 40 yarder - gets his hat trick...

2-5

Hell's Bells.... give away by Spurs, Lewandowski with his 2nd

2-6...............

before the ink is dry on the page, Gnabry hits his 4th - ANOTHER cracker

2-7
