Can't say I'm shocked by the score so far. To me the Everton win and Liverpool massacre tomorrow were the two biggest bankers on the coupon.

We are very lucky to only be 1-0 down.
Shocking performance, passing and decision making .

Fornales is a terrible footballer, Arthur had been awful, Rice has been awful, noble non existent, forgot Haller was on the field and Roberto shouldn't of been beaten near post at that angle!!

We're lucky to be only 1 down, but our midfield is disjointed and contributing nothing at either end of the pitch.

Fabianski saves the goal...so would Jussi, Randolph and Adrian.
And McNight!!

Can anyone tell me what Robbie Earle is talking about, please? "Everton are playing like West Ham and West Ham are playing like the old Everton." Does he mean this season, or this game?
Can we play the second half like old mid-1980s Everton please?

Exactly! When he comes back, it won't be long before it's his turn to be rubbished.

Masuaku, Noble, Lanzini, Fornals and Anderson - absolutely awful.

We’re really missing some pace, strength and athleticism in this team. Getting overrun and hustled far too easily.
I’d say Anderson and Noble have been a lot better than Rice, I am really surprised Yarmolenko is coming on for Anderson. He must have a knock.

He was culpable for the late loss at Palace, and his midfield selection here is baffling.

when we are attacking, the players supporting whoever is on the ball are either miles away and running in the opposite direction, or basically treading on their toes.

there's an optimal passing distance that we seem to be at great pains to avoid for whatever reason.

It's like having 8 men out there. Fornals, Lanzini and Anderson have been awful.

Haller completely isolated....yet again. Sort it out Pelle.

Anderson is frustrating but he's still a player that can pull a rabbit out of the hat and needs to stay on the pitch. Lanzini however is too slow and no where near his best,he needs to come off as does Formals.

Unbelievably we're still in this game and Yarmalenko is on a good run of form as long as he's fit he should be playing, maybe then we could turn this around.

I can't believe I'm saying this but given how poor we've been in that first half and still only 1 goal down, we can still win the game if we raise our performance to a tad below average.

I'll be happy to see Whilshere coming on just so we can have a semblance of control going forwards. Really don't know what Rice was doing in that first half, he wasn't marking Iwobi and it wasn't like he was hedging to our right hand side helping cover Fredericks and giving him extra protection. He was just marking the space in the middle whilst Richardlison keep running behind on our right or Iwobi getting the ball in space centrally and having all the time in the world shift it out wide.

Serious question: have we ever come back well from an international break?

Surprised to see Anderson and Rice getting bashed - they have been OK

Plenty of others performing far worse. Haller is once again getting no service

The problem is, he’s never in a million years a left winger.

Bilic did this when Payet was out. Insisted on forcing Lanzini out wide.

If he can’t player centrally because Noble, Rice and Fornals are there then he shouldn’t be in the team.

Get a winger on. Get Lanzini central instead of Fornals.

Would have taken off Fornals instead of Anderson. Strange.

Every time the commentator mentions Fornals I have a vision of a lemon come into my mind. Think someone's telling me we brought another one.
