I don’t entirely disagree, but those are the reasons he would be readily sacrificed. 30 might be not too old at all, but it’s old enough that another year or so and he’s not getting much fee recouped.
I’d keep him in the squad, good bench option, but he’s also one of the ones I’d sell first (if at all possible).

I was thinking the other day, what would have happened if we'd signed Danny Ings...chigwells finest wrote: ↑Tue Jan 14, 2020 8:59 am there must be a difinitive list of players not to touch with a bargepole , that we look down every window and sign at least 1

With our training facilities and medical staff, he would probably have been put down by nowsteveyrockstar wrote: ↑Tue Jan 14, 2020 10:24 am I was thinking the other day, what would have happened if we'd signed Danny Ings...

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020
Almost halfway through January and we’ve made very little progress.
Deal for a keeper should have been done and ready for January 1st.
We’ve already dropped at least 1 point because of it.
Looking doubtful it will be fixed for this weekend so let’s see if it costs us further.
Noble or Rice or Haller get injured or sent off Saturday, then what??
It’s ridiculous.

Wow! Could you imagine? After being announced as the 18th richest club in the world, sell Declan Rice to raise funds for transfers! Even Sullivan isn't that stupid, is he?

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020
It's his birthday. A sales promotion I imagine.
Even these clowns wouldn't try to get shot of all the Rice merchandise just before they sell him! Would they?
Re: The January Transfer Window 2020
Selling carroll, Perez and Hernandez looks more and more stupid with every game, whenever we're losing there's nothing different on offer from the subs bench.
Now we're scratching around for a striker and will probably end up with no one. I'd be scouting the Championship for a striker with a few goals, got to be better than what we have right now.

The only glimmer of light in this complete sh*tfest is that Moyes generally has an eye for a decent signing.
Hugill aside, who was obviously signed as a means to creatively juggle some money around whilst bunging his brother a few quid at the same time.

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020
We should take a punt on ollie watkins and ivan toney.
Wont break the bank
Two exciting young players that could put us in good stead for our season in the championship should we go down.
Plan for the future now.
Im am quite looking forward to a season in the championship, we are due one!
Get rid of most of the foreign players. Keep a good British core to the side.
I enjoyed the season we went up with pardew and the squad he built.
Come one Westham!

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020
You give with one hand & take with the other
Here is a question - Sully/Moyes I would like to think they have spoken many times regarding the playing staff. Moyes, not employed since they binned him, reemployed. Would Moyes feel / say "I think we are ok, I can keep us up with the squad we have" almost ego driven, forced into a corner to prove himself as a top manager/right decision to reemploy?
Getting away from the fact we have known we have needed another CM (at the very least) for the past two or so seasons.
I haven't seen too many of his press conferences, has he mentioned we need new bodies in?
