I wouldn't go so far as to say he failed, it's just the mind boggling fact we need a keeper that's ready now, and yet we signed one injured.
I get what Ozza is saying about ££££, but it's a waste of ££££ paying his wages whilst he crocked.
I just don't get this signing whatsoever.
I don't get this signing either. Maybe 'failed' was an over-exaggeration but he didn't really pull up any trees here before and he's been away two years playing in the league below. Is he really going to be any better than he was before? I'd also question Randolph's desire. He knows he's gonna be a no.2 here, he couldn't dislodge Adrian, never mind Fabianski.

Signing a 32 year old injured goalkeeper on a 3.5 year deal to backup our injured 34 year old goalkeeper because our two 33 year old backup goalkeepers have been deemed not good enough.
Peak West Ham.
Based on that we still need to sign another keeper!

Randolphs just gone through the longest medical in football history, don’t know whether this is a worry or we’re just very picky
We only longed out the medical to save a few days wages...

Don't lessen Gold's role in all of this; he is equally complicit as the other one.
I know, which is why I mentioned him. What genuine fan could sit back and watch the club they supposedly love be continuously shafted? They both need to go, and need to take that sour-faced old boot with them

He did though, didn't he?
On and off maybe but never particularly convincingly, they sort of shared it didn't they? Randolph knows that no matter what he does this time, fabianski plays over him if both are fit.
We’ve just signed our old 3rd choice keeper, to now be 2nd choice as our 1st choice is injured.
Trouble is, the guy we’ve signed who used to be 3rd choice and is now 2nd choice is also injured.
That leaves us with a likelihood of playing our 4th choice keeper this Saturday as our supposed current 3rd choice (who was initially brought in to be 2nd choice) is an absolute clown.
An average goalkeeper who nobody missed when he left last time returning after 3 weeks of failing medicals still being signed whilst out injured for a nominal fee, most of which is owed to us from the initial transfer anyway is the most West Ham signing ever.

Third choice? Pardon...
He came in as competition / back up to Adrian in his first season... but the second season played as many games. They were very much competing for the gloves...
An odd re-writing of history claiming him to have been third choice.
Who was the other one he was supposed to have been behind?
