Sure there is. His agent wants to pressure Lampard to either play him more or loan him out. Not necessarily to us, but hey he takes what he can get in terms of news stories. Now when it is rejected it puts a bit of pressure on Lampard to play him moreHugh Jargon II wrote: ↑Thu Jan 16, 2020 3:21 pm There is no reason on earth that our interest in Barkley has been leaked to the press. Unless deliberate.
Of course Lampard or the club wouldnt help us. Likewise Spus and the Gedson deal that indicates most of London would happily see us off!
It's humiliating to be a West Ham fan today. Bloody heartbreaking what they have done to us.

Berge=Dendonker=Carvalho=Never happening
Allen was always the most likely outcome.
In a way you gotta admire GSB...they end up making the supporters say "he's better than Sanchez"..."in our situation you can't expect to sign x or y" etcHugh Jargon II wrote: ↑Thu Jan 16, 2020 3:21 pm There is no reason on earth that our interest in Barkley has been leaked to the press. Even got people saying "why would championship players want to play for West Ham Utd?"...ffs

Just imagine if Walcott played against us every week, he’d be on par with Messi and RonaldoPlaistowIron wrote: ↑Thu Jan 16, 2020 2:46 pm Very true...
Another example for me would be Theo Walcott

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020
I would hazard that in loan fees and the permanent transfer fee we made our money back on Samuelsen at least.Puff Daddy wrote: ↑Thu Jan 16, 2020 12:11 pm I have had issue with these type of signings for a very long time and continue to do so. They are fine if you have the money and already have a strong squad, but we don't, so they are a complete waste of the little resources we do have
We made a pretty sizable profit on Fletcher, I won't bother mentioning young Declan nor Jack Collison.

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020
lets hope he has a poor day on Saturday although he always scores against us !
so allen looks likely, who does he actually replace ? noble for 30 mins when his legs have gone. perhaps the idea is to have a half each. not what we need
any sign of a RB ?

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020
Probably Noble from the jump against any team that presses, Mark can't handle a pressing defense anymore. Allen isn't any better in terms of moving around, but he can pass through a press at leasthammerman11 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 16, 2020 4:17 pm lets hope he has a poor day on Saturday although he always scores against us !

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020
Sulli's probably blaming our perilous league position on Pellegrini's shortcomings and is rightly or wrongly presuming that Moyes can keep us up without having to significantly invest in this window.
Risky business.

This is the transfer thread. Logically sound ideas need not apply til 2023.

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020
IB is either Moyes himself or Moyes assistant Robbie Cooke so he actually knows Ross Barkley on a first name basis, makes sense that he'd call him Ross rather than Barkley.

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020
Randolph is an improvement on Martin, I'd love to think they'll invest in the summer but they'll let Fabianski play in our goal until we have to wheel him into his retirement home.
Realistically a
Rice
Barkley Allen
Midfield is quite a bit stronger than
Rice
Snodgrass Noble
It also gives us two very solid options off the bench and with rotation.
We survive, make Barkley permanent in the summer and bring in a younger CM to rotate with the Snodgrass, Allen, Noble axis. That player may be Coventry, if not send him to a Championship club on loan, make a final call on Cullen.
Send Trott to a Championship team and Anang to a league 1 team on loan.
Add Diangana to the squad, either add Holland or send him to a championship team on loan.
Find a Right Wingback or promote Johnson if he's fit.

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020
ross has been benched by every manager he's played for. and he was willing to not play and sit out his contract at everton.
i'm not sure he's the person we want fighting with us for the rest of the season.
