Lazaro is a wide player and not any better to me than what we have in Anderson, Lanzini, Fornals, etc.

Vecino might be a fit, but he supposedly wants to go to Spurs. Can't see him wanting to come here given interest in teams farther up the table here and in Europe. Might just be a case of us pinging his agent, being informed he has no interest in agreeing to the loan and moving on.

Lazaro's best position is wing-back, and would be a good replacement for Fredericks.

We need to be signing a right back who can play wing back. Not a wing back who can play right back.

So I was looking at the free players available, because that seems out M.O.

Anyone heard anything about what is going on with Younousse Sankharé?

I know his transfer in the summer fell apart last minute and he and Sousa had a falling out so bad that they agreed to mutually terminate his deal in late November, but haven't heard anything since. If we truly have no money for transfers, he's 30 and was an every match starter for a mid-table side in Ligue 1 last year.

I know most of you disagree but I'd personally take a risk on nathaniel clyne and bring him in on a 6 month loan.

Of all the loan signings that we’ve been linked to I think this is the best. If he can prove his fitness it’d be a great signing, still only 28 and proven Premier League quality. Zero risk.

Why on earth did we not offer samuelson plus cash for bowen??
Bloke doesnt have too long left on his deal and surely would have been interested, evwn works from the perspective we go down as he would be as hes been this season in the championship lethal.

That would take owners with something between their ears ( and of course, some money)

Bowen would cost, Samuelson was getting a very small something for a player we weren't offering a new deal, he wasn't going to make any impact on a Bowen deal. They have plenty of suitors for Bowen, and if we want him we'll have to match or beat the other offers.

Bowen has a year left on his deal, leeds are sniffing around. If we cant beat leeds for a bloke with 1 year left on his deal we might as well turn out the lights.

What percentage of Bowen's transfer figure do you think Samuelson's sale would cover?

I'm gonna say it'd be under 5%.

I predict Clyne in and a CM on loan who will be a decent name but a massive disappointment.

Ok...why didn't we offer Samuelson and some diamond encrusted panth....I meant Tigers. Ok, we'll chuck in a free Carlos Sanchez too. Can't say fairer than that. Mint condition, hardly been used.

I also don't see Bowen as a good target for us right now.

Leeds offer is 3M loan with an additional 15M in the summer to make it permanent. Assume Hull would only accept if it gets up to at least 20M.... do we really want to pay 20M for a smallish winger who can also play as a small striker?

Given our needs I'd much rather invest in CM and FB. If we buy a striker, I'd rather a true striker who is more versatile in terms of having at least average size and strength

Your completely missing the point,
Even without samuelson this is the type of player we need, young hungry and scores goals, the guy is in the championship and has 1 year left, the figures being bandied around are 15 million, even if you say to hull we'll take him on loan for the samuelson fee with a obligation to buy at lets say...15 million.
There's no joined up thinking at all,
If your dealing with a club and want one of their players who has a minimal time left on his deal and you also are selling them a player there has to room to do a deal.
