We should be seriously looking at Danny Rose. Contract ends next season and Spurs want him gone. Might be 29 but he's 20 times the players we have there right now.

The man who said he can't wait to quit football? No thank you.
Mind you Its probably being linked to us that made him say that.

tbf that doesn't provide the context to what he said

he said he was fed up with the racism and was looking forward to retiring to get away from that, but still wanted to play for another 5 or 6 years

He would be an excellent signing, but he wants to go back oop north i think

To think we left the Boleyn for this.
That’s just it, we didn’t...we only left to make the spins richer, nothing more, nothing less.

Let’s never lose sight of that FACT.

He'd take up one of our 2 loan spots and as I already said he's a 1 in 5 striker over his entire career. He might turn out to be the next Henry but with his current 4 in 12 in a weaker League he doesn't seem to tick the "ready now" box.

So I am underwhelmed that, if true, we're prepared to use up a loan space on an unproven striker who has a less than inspiring goal scoring record over a number of years.
And maybe he's another wrecking ball, Antonio style player and his statistics tell you nothing about what he brings to a team.

Maybe it's injection of energy, power and willingness that you can't see on your stat sheet.

I know nothing about the French lad but turning our noses up because he “only scores 1 in 4” is laughable.

We are not going to sign a quality striker in this window as that requires money. Whether we have it or not we all know nothing will be spent.

That 1 in 4 striker will fill in for Anderson (1 in 18) and see Lanzini (wouldn’t get 1 if they all went home) back in the reserves getting up to speed. It is 3 or 4 possibly priceless goals if you are thinking we can stay up. He may even be able to move and create space for Haller. Something we only currently have in Antonio.

So yeah I’m not excited, but we need bodies and he’d struggle to do worse than the current options we have!

Maybe he is. Maybe he's been tracked by the club over a number of months and been scouted thoroughly, maybe.

a good player with poor stats for a crap club in a mediocre league being touted around like a two quid prozzie by the same shitehawk agent who we always go to in times of desperation is still a good player.

People are far too quick to write off players on this forum...

fornals was rubbish until about a month ago according to a lot of the posters on here

now Rose isnt good enough because he once said he wanted to leave football

remember when Traore (who tore liverpool a new hole last night) was deemed too inconsistent for us...

even mcguire was deemed not good enough

good job none of us are managers.. we would have the lifespan of a watford boss

Moyes:

"I'd rather bring people in who're going to help me. I don't want to bring people in just to make people think we've got another number in. I want someone who can make a difference in the team.

"I think it's incredible how many players we've been linked with. We're always interested and looking to see what's out there, but nothing definite, nothing imminent that's going to happen."

"I think we're playing with quite a lot of confidence and showing that in our games. I think the two late goals on Wednesday turned an okay performance into a really bad one."

Unbelievable that he actually said this.

I know we are desperate for a new centre mid, but I just can't see a manager as experienced as Moyes dropping his club captain and replacing him with an untested box to box midfielder in a relegation battle.

Agreed. Definitely a step up on what we already have.

Anyone who is willing to do business with that awful McKay fella is a man of very low morals, therefore I guess this deal is pretty much sealed for our beloved two daves.
