Re: The January Transfer Window 2020
Being the “18th richest club in the world” does not necessarily mean you are flush with cash at any particular time. The 19th richest club in the world (Everton) made a loss of over £100m in their last reported financial year.
At least we seem to be targeting a younger player at this stage which is encouraging.

Agree about targeting younger players, we should have been doing this ages ago, instead of paying over the top for overrated foreign players, imo.Gsbgsb wrote: ↑Fri Jan 24, 2020 5:32 pm Being the “18th richest club in the world” does not necessarily mean you are flush with cash at any particular time. This cannot be understated. A proper energetic midfielder that can break up play would be a dream for us. Scott Parker made our full backs’ jobs so much easier.Crouchend_Hammer wrote: ↑Fri Jan 24, 2020 5:13 pm
Fix the midfield and the fullbacks become much less of a concern

BBC Web page
West Ham United winger Grady Diangana will stay on loan at West Bromwich Albion until the summer, after the two clubs reached an agreement.

Being linked with so many players makes me proud to be a Hammers fan, just imagine supporting a club where your team isn’t linked with anyone.

He was literally the only reason I went for at least a year and a half. He seemed like the only one who honestly wasn’t terrified of the ball or controlled it like one of those old 99p ones from WoolworthsLeonRivers wrote: ↑Fri Jan 24, 2020 5:50 pm This cannot be understated. Or absolute broken biscuit barrel jobs like Mario B or BonyiLoveLasagne wrote: ↑Fri Jan 24, 2020 3:55 pm If this relegation clause in contracts is true then I can't see anyone signing unless they are on absolute peanuts. Even then, if they were half decent they would be offered similar contracts elsewhere WITHOUT the clause.
Remember last time in this scenario when we brought in Wayne Bridge who had forgotten what a football was and Robbie Keane who had remembered he was pure ****ing Spurs?...
Those ones

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020
Would love this:
Matty Cash (RB) - £15m
Franck Kessie (CM) - loan w/option
Viera/Soucek (DM) - £10-15m
Guirassy/Chalov/Piatek - loan w/ option
Sadly I pretty much see none of those happening.

With Barry Silkman doing our 'scouting', I wouldn't hold my breath for an influx of youth.

Italian media saying we are in for Piatek from Milan. Would actually be a really good signing. A real number nine to operate next to Haller

30 million for 4 players when the top clubs pay nearly three times that for one.
Surely the 18th richest club could afford 30 million to keep us in the big money earning league, it beggars belief that they won't pay out that much.
