Re: The January Transfer Window 2020
You’re not getting significant fees for Wilshere and Reid. I’d happily let both go for free if we could get them off the wage bill this week. Sanchez needs to be Roberto’d
I’d be tempted to cash in on Diop if someone still has interest at silly money.
I really think we need a minimum of four. An effective squad can be made from:
Fab
Randolph
Martin
New RB
Ogbonna
Diop
Balbuena
Cresswell
Masuaku
Antonio
Fornals
Anderson
Noble
New midfielder
New midfielder
Rice
Snodgrass
Lanzini
New attacking midfielder
Haller
New striker
Ajeti

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020
On the plus side, we’ll make a decent amount of money in sales this summer when Rice, Anderson, Haller, Lanzini, Diop all leave. Wilshere, Zabaleta, Sanchez and Reid will he gone.
Randolph, Oggy, Fred, Balbuena, Cresswell, Nobes and Snodgrass will all remain as a core.

If cresswell is part of the core we will never be solidWilko1304 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 26, 2020 4:52 am On the plus side, we’ll make a decent amount of money in sales this summer when Rice, Anderson, Haller, Lanzini, Diop all leave. Wilshere, Zabaleta, Sanchez and Reid will he gone.

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020
Can’t sign players in January because they don’t want to be relegated. Can’t plan for the summer because we don’t know what league we’ll be in. Perfect!
(this makes a wild assumption that we do actually plan transfers)

Just on yesterday's game, Ajeti looked better than Haller imo, obviously he's not. Can't decide what kind of striker we need to sign, someone to play alongside Haller, or someone to play instead of him

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020
I'd be all over someone like Shane Long at this point.
*****, but a pest and you can put a ball over the top and he'll get on it. His work rate should get the crowd on side and hopefully transmit to the others.
I'd also have brought Hugill back on day 1 of the window. If we are going to play this long ball flick on football, he's better than Haller and Ajeti at doing that and should take the physical load off Haller a bit.
I also realise I've just advocated playing Hugill and Long in the Premier League. Next level.

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020
Pretty pointless all this stuff saying we need to sign 4 players to address the problems and avoid relegation. The clueless twats running our club have barely put a foot right in 10 years, so there's no chance of them doing so this week. We are merely talking among ourselves while the board watch the club burn and take our money.

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020
So Tottenham are looking to resign Gareth Bale to play in their £1bn stadium whilst we are discussing the signings of Joe Allen and Shane Long in our loaned pit of depression.
That Karren Brady is really showing Levy who the deal maker is. I bet he is so frustrated at watching how our success business model is managed.

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020
Winston Reid turned down the chance to join Charlton on loan? Also he's linked with moves to the MLS.
So sad his injuries have stopped him from playing the past couple of years.
But if he was to leave this window, and hopefully take Sanchez with him, hopefully it would create space in the squad for new players.

At least he cannot score against us if he plays for us... though currently he’d probably score an own goal on his debut!

It’s gutting what’s happening to us, the owners have made us into a laughing stock.Believer wrote: ↑Sun Jan 26, 2020 8:43 am So Tottenham are looking to resign Gareth Bale to play in their £1bn stadium whilst we are discussing the signings of Joe Allen and Shane Long in our loaned pit of depression.

We know how this plays out, so it might help to stop stressing about it.
Accept what we are, and the position we are in, accept that relegation is almost a certainty, and you will find inner peace my brothers and sisters.

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020
So we've offered £12m for Matty Cash and AC Milan have already put together a package worth £15m for him??
We are an utter joke.

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020
Rumoured to be £10 million cash and 2 million add on where as Milan was less up front .. and add ons are hard to meet sometimesDenbighammer wrote: ↑Sun Jan 26, 2020 9:09 am So we've offered £12m for Matty Cash and AC Milan have already put together a package worth £15m for him??

Deals like that happen all time
What I can't understand is the lack of spending .. without everyone going full argument and board out clobbers we get on every thread that diverts from proper convo I can't get why they would spend money on Randolph and pay Roberto's wages (imo highlighting they need to spend to keep us up) and then fail to address other areas like the midfield ..
Surely as others have said if they want to stay on this 150 million a season gravy train they would cough up a few million now to get 3 or 4 players in to stop the rot
They can point to injurys but only 1 would improve the midfield centrally and that's jack . He has made 14 appearances in 2 seasons so he isn't the answer
Even Allen and shelvy would be something to paper over the cracks for a bit

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020
Because we don't have any cash, that's why. Randolph was cheap, we'd have simply taken off the money they owed us as part of the deal.

They may as well bid 50m for Messi. Making bids that they know will not get accepted is their speciality
