It's all to little to late, the games that we needed to take points from with any new players has gone with our next up and coming fixtures. I can except they are not multi billionaire owners, the top four was never realistic, with Man utd, Man city, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, Spuds, Leicester & Everton I don't think the top 7 was ever realistic. . I did however think we should be competing for the top 10. Anybody with any vision would realise we have a new stadium with a chance to attract new players & build a decent squad before the other teams build their own new stadiums & we are all on a level par. I can except we can't compete, what I can't except is moving us and telling us we can, like a lot of us I didn't want to move but, I understand it from a chance of progression. We haven't made any gains this move should have afforded us, infact we have regressed. No team should ever have an automatic right to be stable in the premier League but, the fact that Sheff utd went down & down to league one & have come up & how they are performing this season, fair play to them, just shows how badly our club has been managed. Yes we get record signings in the summer but that's only because they sell the previous record signings to fund it. Carroll, Arnie, Hernandez & Perez were never prolific on there own but there collective goals would certainly have us higher up the league, I can't understand why anybody involved in football wouldn't see the problem with selling all of them & not replacing them with equal numbers.

Liverpool signed a bloke before the window even opened, why not us.
I’m not sure Liverpool is the best place to start a comparison, to be fair!

Every year, in every transfer window, many of us suggest that the club ought to be getting transfers over the line as close to the opening of the windows as possible.

Every year, in every transfer window, many other fans suggest that the window is long and that there is plenty of time to get things done.

I hope that finally, all our fans realise that it holds the team back to operate this way.

I fear the incompetent buffoon had left it far too late. We have thrown away points this month.

That would suggest Sully wants to bring players in, that is giving him too much credit.

Nature of the transfer window I think.

Brinksmanship from other clubs who want to squeeze every penny out of us and know waiting until the last minute to do a deal leaves us desperate and willing to spend more.

And we aren't many players first choice option, so they hold out till late hoping a preferable club comes in.

I think this is probably a more accurate statement of West Ham and transfer windows...

Then they aren't the correct players. If a player doesn't want to be here, that's reason number 1 not to sign them.

As a utopian ideal that would be lovely, but I'm not sure that it really holds in the monstrously ugly shitpit we exist in. I bet Carlos Sanchez or Albian Ajeti were delighted to come here, while someone like Payet arrived under sufference due to OM's financial troubles.

The type of players that sign for clubs like Bournemouth, Burnley, even Leicester. Players that have been scouted and are hungry to prove themselves.
