In an ideal world we would get Giroud also. The way it’s being reported he is not averse to a move in general, but wants to stay at in London. Unless Spurs or Arsenal are interested, we should be in pole position to get him. I’d even be satisfied with a loan deal considering his age.

From all accounts I've read, and all the videos I've watched, this lad appears to have it all. Yes he can strike a free kick. He's pacy, he puts a shift in, he tackles, he can be creative, he has a great shot, and he has the instincts of a goalpoacher. He's always finding space and in the right place at the right time.

I'll be amazed and ecstatic if we sign Bowen. Was thinking when was the last time we paid big-ish money for an exciting, young English talent? Would be Carroll and then Ashton.

Can't believe some people are comparing Bowen signing to Hugill on Facebook. Bowen's been regarded as the most exciting young English forward in the C'ship for a good year.

There have been a number if comparisons that are just not correct. Hogan is another. Hugill is a serviceable Championship striker, who many of us knew little about when he arrived. Bowen is well know as being a consistently good player in the Championship and I’d consider it a good deal if we got him.

If Bowens dad is a Villa fan then that means f*** all. If, on the other hand, the player himself is a Villa fan then that might be different. Where's this rumour come from though? I've not seen it anywhere.
