I did think the Sheffield United game was the one that we really had to get something out of. But on reflection and looking at the fixtures although things look bad I now think that we can still get out of it. However, I think the Everton match is a 'must win' now. Drop points against them and I think things will look really grim.

lose on Saturday and we are down.
Oh come on!

I like your posts pal - but you are way off there. There is a long way to go. A loss on Saturday just makes it more exciting!

That's what I mean by finished .............
Ok.

Except that last time I looked, Wimbledon were in L1( sure, they didn't have their own ground but .....).
A guy who's kid plays in my lad's team, here in rural Worcestershire, goes home and away.....so they still exist.
Granted, you can't watch them on telly much (thankfully from our perspective), but some people still get a buzz out of football at any level.

Just beat the teams around you, Look at Moyes record last time

We got thrashed with the oppostion getting 4 goals about 5 games, one of them was Swansea

Whilst we beat Southampton H, Watford H, Huddersfield A, WBA H, Stoke A

Last 3 games against teams in holiday mode and we got 7pts,

before that we P8 W1 D2 L5 Pts 5 letting in 21 goals !!!

so the next 11 PL games are:
everton h
Leicester a
Liverpool a
brighton h
man city a
Liverpool a
Southampton h
arsenal a
wolves h
spurs a
Chelsea h

so where are the wins coming from ? everton brighton Southampton all at home ? I can only see two draws and defeat to everton. 2pts
aways are no wins and all defeats for me. so if it all goes near to how I think it will we will have only a handful of points to add to the 22 we have so far.

so if we assume we are on around 26 points at this stage we then have the following to play :

Newcastle a draw
burnley h win
Norwich a draw
Watford h draw
man utd a lose
villa h win

so a possible 9-10 pts more making a total around the 35 pys mark which I doubt will be enough

yes we have plenty of games left but we keep losing them and putting in lazy performances. that is why everton is a must win as I don't see us collecting any points for some time after that game.

Honestly think if we survive this season it will be even more of a remarkable achievement than the Great Escape season. Such is the state of the club on and off the pitch.

If we can’t take more than two points from those three fixtures then we will definitely go down and quite rightly so. Personally I reckon we’ll take at least six from them.

So far this season I don't think our points total has ever been lower than games played. If we won one in 3 of our remaining fixtures we would achieve 39 points, which would probably be enough to survive. In reality 5 wins and 3 draws would probably be more likely. The amount of draws we have failed to get is the real problem this season, probably 4 more points we should have had.

If we get relegated is there a clause that means we lose the stadium? That would be a right old shame.

No but apparently there is a clause which lowers the rent while we are out of the Premier League.
Maybe that is what the owners are after, make the deal even worse for he taxpayer and they will be gifted a prime piece of real estate.

No chance that even they want that. If we go down and stay down the club and the value the owners have in it is ****ed.

Bournemouth's Stanislas, Kelly, Lerma and Ramsdale all due to return within January. Josh King, Arnaut Danjuma and Stacey in a month from now.

January - Norwich A, Brighton H, Arsenal H FAC
February - Villa H, Sheff A, Burnley A

They have relatively kind fixtures. If they can grab something in this lot of fixtures then it could well turn around for them. However, they could also pick up further injuries and/or suspensions sending them into further chaos. Begovic has been shipped out to Milan so I imagine there are aims to bring in reinforcements.

I think they will stay up. But I am rubbish at predictions usually.

They are certainly playing a dangerous game leaving our squad threadbare practically going into the new year. Surely they must have known Pellegrini was on his way a while before they sacked him, and if so, should have had players lined up via agent's etc to give the new manager a good chance?

It's gotten to the stage now where I'm betting on other teams games in the dogfight as well as on our games. Have done it in previous seasons when we've been in a relegation scrap, but don't normally do it until March/April. Do it mainly because my bets very rarely come in, it's a superstition I have so to speak. As an example I've gone for Watford to beat Spurs and Bournemouth to beat Norwich on Saturday, in the hope that they don't come in. As for Brighton vs Villa I've gone for a home or away win double chance in the hope that it's a draw! Cost me a lot of money over the years, but if it helps West Ham survive, then I'm happy. And if on the rare occasions my bets do come in, at least I have a bit of money coming back to soften the blow if we end up conceding points to the teams around us. You don't have to be mad to support this club, but it does help!

our run of fixtures will see very little points coming in and that is why saturdayagainst everton is a must win as we wont be getting 3 pts for a very long time afterwards. we play Leicester Liverpool brighton man city arsenal Chelsea and Liverpool again in the next 6 weeks or so. cant see much there , even brighton will test us with their energetic forwards and hard press.

we are going down

We will lose really heavily to Liverpool.

We will also finish their unbeaten run, in the other match.

This shall be my prophesy.
