40 points may not be enough this season

At least we have something to play for now, it'll make things interesting.

Love a relegation tussle.

This season I have tried stay to be balanced with how I thought we would get on this season and in truth after what I thought was a pretty average summer transfer window I did think this was a poor Premier League and there simply would be enough sides worse than us to keep us out of trouble.

As things stand and looking at our next few fixtures and it is pretty likely we will be a fixture in the bottom 3 during that time so combined with the appointment of a totally uninspiring manager, the prospect of yet another transfer window where we fail invest properly to address squad weaknesses and relegation rivals digging out results I sadly think this is our year to drop.

When we do go down this will firmly fall on the shoulders of the owners, they failed to back Pellegrini last summer, they delayed the inevitable sacking of Pellegrini for a month too long and wasted a run of winnable fixtures for a new boss, replaced him with a manager whose best days are long gone and as it stands fail to provide him with any funds to invest in the squad.

I hope I am wrong but then again maybe I am not as relegation might necessary rid us of owners who destroyed so much of what made West Ham United a special club once, this seasons relegation and the protests just might be the start of the end for Gold, Sullivan and Brady.

My 3 to go down Norwich, Us and Bournemouth.

In that bowl, half empty, we might drop again.

They are having a good season, just outside the playoff place. They might be one of the teams who takes our place.

I reckon we will need to win at least 5 more games to have any chance of surviving, I believe we will struggle to win more than 4 with the manager and squad we currently have.

Sold our home...60k stadium and staring relegation in the face.

I'd rather have the Venkys in charge.

Said it before, I’ll say it again. I’m more likely to renew if we go down.

- Prices will probably be frozen in a panic. Would go up if we stayed up.
- Play different teams. Won’t have to deal with Liverpool and Man City walking it.
- Less tourists.
- No VAR.

and Sully will do for himself what Hammers United has set out to do. There is no way on God's earth that GSB will want to cling onto a club languishing in League 1and it will serve them right

If we do go down that'll be 2 relegations in 10 years. 3 years minimum in the championship, 30% of their stay in a league below where were when they bought us and yet our esteemed board suggesting they've done a good job !

If we look at the monies associated to PL presence, that'll be a minimum of £300m not including sponsorships etc they've cost the club.

We will undoubtedly lose one of the best players we've unearthed for an age yet they sell the "Academy of Football" as much as they cash in on Bobby.

Surely a journalist somewhere will highlight to the football world what we all know about this lot. It's quite clear it's not us being unreasonable.

If we don't sign the players we need and stay up, Moyes should have a statue built !

18th richest club in the world, playing in the Championship. Doesn't quite have the same ring about it

If we go down, it’s going to be difficult in getting back up. Although we don’t like it, most championship teams and there fans will see playing at the bowl an incentive and we will have to put up with every away support singing “ your grounds to big for you”, I am already fed up with “ your not West Ham any more”. If results don’t improve in the next few games I can see GSB getting a rough ride again, let’s hope we can somehow pull a few results together. I wanted a good cup run, but now its maybe time to rest the older guys on Saturday as if we don’t get anyone in this month we may need them.
