Unfortunately, it’s a lose/lose situation.

Stay in the Prem and you have ***** owners forever and a day, unless some Russian or Chinese criminal launders a large enough chunk of cash in the direction of GSB to do one. In addition, as every team below the top 2 now (used to 6 but maybe that down to Brexit or Labour, who knows), is in a relegation tussle from late August onwards. It’s not much fun watching the results and hoping several teams either lose or draw.

The championship is a load of b*llocks. The pundits lead you to believe it’s full of excitement and good fun. Not really. No pay on the day, stand on the terraces entertainment of yesteryear I’m afraid. It’s still sit down next to Mrs. Clubshop Purchase and rank beer n hotdogs in a plastic wrapper. The football is even worse. The odd decent lad plays while getting fit for the Prem (Eze? At QPR) but that only lasts until they get bored. Worst of all, the crap owners don’t leave because no one buys Championship clubs that don’t own their own ground and the valuation is a nose bleed. Once the parachute money is pissed away the fans are all of a sudden the owners best friends again - Hull City AFC, used to be Hull Tigers FFS.

Trouble is, football is done for. VAR, cheating players, inane punditry, kick off times at 7.30 am on a Thursday to meet the demand in Outer Mongolia, transfer deadline day like its a supermarket dash, new third kit every season - I could go on, you get the picture.

While it last, go to the games with your mates, have a beer before and after, talk b*llocks, remember the good times.

Clubs like WHU and Hull City will never win anything again, but it really wasn’t about that (much). It was about the characters on the pitch and in the stands, a good away day.

Cheer up chaps, enjoy what you can while you can.

Game over, lights out, it's done. Brighton game was win or bust for me. Mission Impossible especially after our next 2 games.

Yep. This was essential to keep us afloat after City and Liverpool. We will need 6 wins from 11 games after those two and I just can't see it. Especially as 3 or 4 of those games are against teams also fighting for their life.

Just looked at our remaining fixtures again, can’t see us getting more than 10 or 12 points. I think we’re going down :(

Agreed. Every other team at the bottom seems to be capable of picking up the odd win or at least a draw .... all we seem to do is throw points away. It's really hard to see where the next 3 points will come from.

Face it guys, we ain't good enough.

Moyes can't even do 'hard to beat' 'shut up shop' football..

So what exactly does he offer, apart from guaranteed relegation?

I can see them offering Big Sam more than they paid Pellegrini, to save their season.

Is this club really even worth following anymore?

Iv seen bad football teams, terrible managers, awful individual footballers but the club itself is just unrecognisable from anything I can relate to anymore

I don’t care if they go down or anything like that but at least when I cared i still loved the club

I know I’d never bring myself to follow another side of course not but this isn’t West Ham United anymore not the one I know and love

The thing about The Premier League is unless you're in The Top 4 it's shyte - the only tiny bit of excitement is being in a Relegation Battle .

Whoopee !! :scarfer:

Agree! We're stuck between being whipping boys in the Premier League or relegation to the Championship and all the potential problems that creates. Fun.

A team that goes through a whole season with one goal shy centre forward deserves nothing.

Liverpool (A)
Man City (A)
Southampton (H)
Arsenal (A)
Wolves (H)
Spurs (A)
Chelsea (H)

Wow - our next 7 look tough. Realistically 5 points from that lot? (Beat Saints, draw with arsenal and wolves).

Going to be tight.
