Plus, I’m sure I heard him say about M’bappe (I think) at the Euros/WC, “I wouldn’t mind him at my old club”, to which Shearer, with that smug grin said, “who? West Ham?” He’s Man U all the way.

Rio would command respect.....

I'd just like to see someone who knows what they're doing. Someone who can get our players playing to their potential. They're playing well below that currently.
Moyes would do that, Dyche would do that, also Rafa and Sam. Not so sure about Howe.
I'm not a big fan of those four but they definitely know what they're doing whereas Rio and Joe have no experience, it's a crazy risk and I'd think would end in more tears. Long term I don't think Dyche is the worst idea and I'd prefer Moyes over Rafa even though I didn't enjoy all of his stint with us, he got us fitter and he rearranged the team in a way that got us winning again quickly which is something that we desperately need now.
I'd like to see a manager who is capable and prepared to be with us for a number of years, I thought Pellers was that man.
When it gets to this stage I just wish they'd make the move as soon as possible and get the new guy in.

If £10m in compensation would be the cost of Dyche, that’s the equivalent I’d guess of 6 league places TV money? It’s just possible he could generate that through his appointment

Loved Rio as a WHU player.

Wouldn’t want him as our next manager as he has no experience and wouldn’t be ready, but won’t be slagging him off as an ex Hammer.

He was brilliant for us.

I’ve met Joe Cole on numerous occasions and he still absolutely loves the club, holds us responsible for the best football he ever played, and turned down bigger & longer offers for the chance to come back here for that short second spell.

I’ve no doubt Joe is a nice guy, he always comes across that way.

Mind you, I thought I heard him say on TV last Saturday that West Ham’s problems were confined to the pitch and that off it things were fine. Not exactly got his finger on the pulse there if I heard him correctly.

I genuinely believe no matter who we bring in the form will stay the same and that’s down to the fact we have a shocking keeper in goal.

We could bring in Jose and still lose games as we have no faith in the man between the sticks

When Fabianski is back I fully expect our results to improve, my only worry is that the team will be so beaten up that we will struggle to pick up enough points to survive.

I don’t think changing the gaffer will make any difference at the moment, that said if we are going to let him go we have to do it now give a new manager to get rid of some dead wood and look at new players

Kenwright wants Moyes, Moshiri doesn’t though is what I’ve read. Either way you can bet we face a new Arsenal manager in 12 days time.

Getting Moyes back would be a shocking decision [and would make me reconsider going] but he would definitely come back if offered
Why wouldn't he?
He wasn't really treated badly
His managerial stock was at the lowest ebb. He got the gig here on a temporary basis when no-one else would touch him with a barge-pole.
WHen his contract finished he wasn't kept on as much more high profile, successful manager was chosen instead. He didn't do that well here that not keeping on was a controversial decision. He did ok, nothing more,nothing less
