David Martin

You did your old man proud today, as you did all us other Hammers on such a big London Derby away for your debut. :crest:

Obviously keeps the Jersey for the foreseeable. Absolutely loved that hat trick set of saves too!

Couldn't be happier for him or his old man.

This is what makes us West Ham.

he bobbled the ball on that first "save" and the replays showed Giroud was offside for the follow up - what's the bet if he had scored VAR wouldn't have overruled it .......

He had tears in his eyes at the end.
First premier league game, away at Stamford Bridge, and he keeps a clean sheet.
Proud hammer.

A nod to Roberto who came off the bench to give Ginge a great big hug. Was great to see.

The absolute ****ing hero. He was the difference today. It just felt different with him in goal. Even for that one game he’s a proper legend.

Surprised he didn't miss him completely and hug Lampard by mistake, instead. :D

Fair play

Probably the best contribution Alvin made to West Ham United.

Some things never change, I felt emotional at the end seeing our keeper. I've been like that the past 8 games!

That's the angle you're going with.. think I'll just appreciate the triple save, myself. Who cares he fumbled the initial shot a bit, main thing is he prevented the ball from hitting the net.

Proper hero today. His WHU legend Dad should rightfully be proud.

(unlike that other slag managing the rent boys  )

He was actually good too.

I'm not going with ANY angle...merely telling you what I saw..

sorry if it doesn't follow your narrative......

haven't slagged him off. stated he bobbled the ball. which he did.

said Giroud was offside which he was (Martin didn't know that of course)

not really sure why you're being such a dick about it.....

Well played David Martin!

You could see how much it meant to him at the end.

He is bloody small for a keeper though🤣

Better than Roberto for sure. We all could see that the players were delighted to have a proper GK in the goal.
