It probably won't be very pretty but I think we will get three points
Trouble is, how gutted is Howe that he didn't get our gig? (I don't know if he was in the running).
He could well have a point to prove against us..

No chance Noble won’t start this one. He got the manager change he wanted.

This is just facetious. He isn't the most attacking of coaches but he almost always had two attacking midfielders supporting Arnautovic and Masuaku in particular got forward a lot.

If we were to beat Bournemouth, we go above them. Will eddie Howe still be the next big thing or will he be the next premier league manager sacked?

I would also recall Josh Cullen and use him as backup before ever letting Carlos Sanchez anywhere near the team ever again.

Please let this be a win. It’s going to be my boys first game.

I would never play Masuaku again as a left back. The only left back in the league that has no interest in defending whatsoever.
No idea of the line up but Bournemouth are there for the taking.
Moyes back in! 1-0 win. :scarfer:

Seems like most are assuming Moyes will play 3 central defenders with wing backs. We are overloaded with offensive all be it they are not doing it but having them might see him set up in a 4 4 2.. Antonio and Haller up top. I would like to see Fornals stay close to Rice in that center, he has showed he can take on that role now. Lanzini and Snod the other 2. Anderson benched. Can,t afford luxury players right now . Time to strengthen that middle . Lanzini Snod Fornals and Rice are the midfield 4 for me.. Moyes will go Noble, Fornals, Rice and Lanzini. If he goes with what i think will be a 4 4 2.
If he goes 5 4 1 or 5 3 2 then i have no idea because that would include Anderson and Antonio as pace on the counter will be key, with the wing backs in support.

He only managed 9 wins out of 30 last time he was here.
Mate at the moment we’re on 2 wins in 13 with 9 defeats in there.

I’d settle for a similar ratio that Moyes got last time until the end of the season.

No idea how this match will go, but it’ll be interesting to see how the players react. Certain members of the squad have looked like they couldn’t give a toss about Pellegrini given their performances (Haller, Anderson, even Lanzini). Will these players suddenly start putting more effort in or be the same as before? Will tell us a lot about whether Pellers really had lost the dressing room or not.

Reckon it’ll be something like this, but perhaps with Rice in midfield, Cresswell and Snodgrass out, and Balbuena and Diop joining Ogbonna.

If we’re doing the Moyes’ three at the back I’d like to see:

——————-Fabianski———————-
———Rice——-Diop——-Ogbonna—
Fredericks—————————————Masuaku
——————Noble——Lanzini—————-
—————————Fornals——————————-
————Antonio————-Anderson—————

May seem a little nuts, but I’d like to see the pace of Anderson and Antonio up top together. I also think Lanzini can be fine in central midfield.

Eddie Howe will see this as a winnable game too. One thing is sure, had we stuck with Pellegrini I don't think we would win

3-1, Antonio, Haller and Diop from a corner.

The negativity slightly lifted and some confidence for the Gillingham game.
Lanzini has been so ineffective and should start on bench, we have to go for it so free role for Anderson

That’s our biggest problem, every team knows we are weak at the back so they always attack us and so far we haven’t had the fire power to counterattack

It's very easy to create chances against us. Our XG stats are awful because of this. I mean creativity wise ourselves it isn't great, but it's better than a few teams. Letting teams create against us however is another story. We have let some **** teams have 8/9/10 shots on target against us. The likes of Burnley and Newcastle who had issues scoring managed 3 each against us while creating a a load of chances. This is the first thing that simply has to stop. Crystal Palace are an example of a team who are good at that. Their football is generally negative and their team has it's limitations, but Hodgson at least can see that. So he sets them up so they are organised and hard to score against. They are able to nick points this way. I'm not saying I want us to be like that, but Pellegrini simply failed to try and address the issue at all. If Moyes can do that it's a start...
