Carney was a lot more insightful than the other clown on BT I thought
As for the performance, brilliant and led well by Snods, Noble and Ogbonna. I'd like Masuaku in left midfield with Fornals replacing Anderson behind the front man. Anderson dropped in essence. Really good at the back today too. Rice was classy.
Bournemouth were, as said previously, diabolical. Played them at a good time injuries wise. Their young kid missing today is class.

And thats about the balance I was talking about...
The glue thats keep everything together...
And not a manager whos alone focusing in save his post, or players who are fighting with each other as the team is not doin well...
Cheers mate!

Cracking performance.
Any touch of Moyes tactically? I think the second half and how they settled in, preserved energy and made sure Bournemouth were kept at bay was the Moyes touch. Pellegrini would not have made Noble sit deeper in the second 45 like he clearly was made to today.
The rest was just effort and determination. We pressed in packs, but not constantly. It was well managed, but not wildly different to what was tried before.
And whilst I thought everyone raised their individual game, my god Bournemouth were bad. Team selections were horrid, Solanke and Wilson aren't wingers who can work back properly, they isolated Callum Wilson and made their attack toothless too.
Hard to judge on one game against a team that bad. We do have talent though, so that feeling of freshness and a new motivation could be crucial.

A new fan for life!

Are we happy now?
Amazing what a win does for the confidence. Not just the players but the fans as well.
Same team but totally different performance.
Loved the way Moyes hugged everyone when they came off.
Onward and upward.

Noticed that too.
Togetherness and teamwork will be needed to get out of this. A long way to go and a vital win today, but a lot of work still to do. Good start for Moyes.

No, we need to be balanced. GSB need to go 4-0 or 0-4 that doesn’t change. Does the bowl still stand? Then GSB need to go. One result doesn't change that.

Apparently 2005 under Pardew v Villa at home. Away maybe we have
That's pretty shocking!

Fabianskis hug was awkward
Isn't it amazing how good it feels to play well and win... Its an unusual feeling. I think the manager deserves huge credit but the players ran about a bit and wanted it too. Odd how they wouldn't for Pell. I bust a gut in my Weds league (literally) so you'd think professional pride and millions watching would ensure that as a minimum. I suppose that with something like a press, if you've been set up well to do it, you'll have faith but if you press alone you might not bother after 10 mins? At the beginning of the season though, our Pell press was decent. Odd.
