Anti board chants for Bournemouth game

Post by jamesahayward » Mon Dec 30, 2019 9:34 pm

I'm not into the walk out protest - being talked about at 10 minutes - but we should make our voices known and chant against the board

Stating at 10 minutes to signify 10 years of the dildo brothers

What are our best anti board chants? Let's have a whole half of anti board chanting! At least it'll create some atmosphere

It's a shame there isn't a mass boycott for the Bournemouth game. Especially as it's on tv

Sadly I'm going - hoping for some new years day protests in the ground!

At least it'll bring some buzz to the stadium and I think it'll help the manager and players bond

Were you to do so James, you'd be wasting your time. Nobody is going to notice a few hundred bodies out of 50,000+ leaving their seats.

(This may have been discussed once or twice before...)

Walkouts don't work. When Moyes is introduced (if he is), that's when the sack the board chants should start. Obviously you cant sack the owners but any appropriate chant will do.

Something next level oriented

Suggesting that people should take to their seats should be easy for people to join in with. As long as it is organised for the 10-15 minutes around half time or at about 80 mins.

The only way to protest is at the car park entrance.
I don't think we should do anything when Moyes is introduced, I know many of us didn't want him, but he is our new manager, and we should get behind him and the team.
What would be great if we cheered for the new manager, cheered on the players, and then chanted anti board songs even if we are winning.

I’m trying to remember what the Burnley protests were all about and what has changed since then? It seems like a hazy dream.

It's mostly because we weren't winning and weren't playing very well.

When Moyes is introduced
Every single one of your ideas involves Moyes. Boo Moyes, start the chants when Moyes is introduced...Let the kids know we can't stand for Moyes etc...Your constant want to start venting anger at the manager before he's even had a chance to do anything is ****ing boring.

I doubt that Moyes will be introduced to the crowd.

Few people join in chants at the Bowl of Disappointment.

Our best protests have always been spontaneous.

A resounding chorus of "We're not West Ham anymore" being sung from every stand is one that might get the message across, especially on live tv. (I'm pretty sure that Sky or BT would love to stir the pot, as well, by turning the volume at that point).

Last nights Radio 5 Monday Night Club podcast is really worth a listen. Rory Smith says that no manager can succeed at West Ham as the owners don't know what they want, have no plan for the club and that the structure is all wrong.

Good. I think that the media are finally wisening up to G&S. All of the “West Ham fans are unreasonable” talk seems to have dried up. There’s now a few bloggs about how there is no plan or structure to the club.

Will they care ? Not at the minute however if the criticism continues, I suspect they might. Sullivan envisages himself as a bit of a football guru and it is abundantly clear he is the polar opposite. Her ladyship thinks she is God’s answer to woman in football and woman in business. The facts prove otherwise. Although both of them have more than enough money to slip away in to the sunset, their egos won’t allow that so continued pressure from press and media will do as much if not more than a few of us lot getting a few chants together.

I truly despair. Team needs lifting, new Manager needs encouragement, crowd need optimism. And here we are discussing anti Club chants and booing. And I say 'Club' on purpose because in creating that atmosphere it doesn't matter that it is directed at a few individuals, ALL will feel it. If you want to protest then, as someone else said, do it at the car park and when the board enter. I understand the anger/frustration and share most of it, but lets be a bit more classy about it. Also, it pisses me off that many promoting this sort of action don't even bloody go to the match!

Can’t see attendance being that high for this one. None of my mates are going and their tickets are not selling on Ticket Trader.

Back to the songs:

“It’s all lies, lies, lies” - simple and effective.

Hit them where it hurts - their egos.

Chants, protests, banners etc need to be clearly heard & seen by the owners, TV cameras and social media.

A few hundred / thousand fans walking out or not showing up won't make any difference to them, seeing as those tickets would have already been paid for.
