I hear the FLEUR DE LLYS pub is good for away away fans for a singsong before the game so will we meet there or at the ground?

The only pub to avoid is The Cricketers (Gillingham, not Rainham) which is strictly Home only and where most Gills fans go.

What’s the state of the pitch, can’t afford any injuries in this one but have already suffered enough embarrassment this season and obviously the cup last season. Would probably keep Haller in though, he needs to keep playing and start focusing on his passing. If we show as much fight as we did today then we should squeeze through

It’s normally pretty good these days. At least, when compared to when it used to slope down like a hill and get full of water one end as a result!keithwright1977 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 01, 2020 11:58 pm What’s the state of the pitch, can’t afford any injuries in this one but have already suffered enough embarrassment this season and obviously the cup last season. I,d bench Haller. Anderson and Noble.
Masuaku, Ajeti and Holland in. Maybe Coventry also. Lanzini starts with Fornals. Rice does need a rest, played every game i think?
Diop and Reid in for Oggy and Balbuena.

Was really worried about this game, the way things were on a downward spiral with Pelboy.
Got a bit more hope now but, I don't want it to end up killing me..
I hope DL can somehow go with his boy again, especially as it's local for them (I think).

Strong team please. We are capable of competing on two fronts. This, particularly as most of the squad have been half asleep up until now.
Maybe Diop, Lanzini and Masusku in. This would not represent a weakening of the side.

I'd like to see us play the exact same line up as we did yesterday, what better way to test their desire than to see if they can do it on a cold Sunday night in Kent ?
What better way for the Manager to get the supporters onside ? What better way to differentiate himself from his predecessor ?
The F.A. cup is the only competition we can win this season, so lets take it seriously. Respect the opposition, respect the competition and respect the paying supporter.
A comfortable win would send us to Bramell Lane filled with confidence.

Part of me would like to see if some of our now back up players (Diop, Lanzini and Masuaku from the start, Ajeti) respond the same was our first teamer did yesterday to Moyes as they will need to be used somewhere down the line. Our players will be buzzing from yesterday, if we can change 3 - 4 players and they get the same confidence from performing than it could be beneficial in the long term.

We've got 3 games in 3 weeks. No reason at all to rest anyone. Probably wouldn't risk Antonio so to try and let him regain full fitness, but other than that, it surely has to be strongest side possible.

Also, a slight advantage over rivals is that the recent Liverpool game got moved... that's 1 less fixture compared to Sheff Utd when it comes to that game next week.Turns to Stone wrote: ↑Thu Jan 02, 2020 9:04 am We've got 3 games in 3 weeks. Would still like a few who are good enough to be starting getting a potential confidence boosting start so they can get on the same page as those who started yesterday.

I'm on the same lines as Pinky.
Maybe putting a couple of the youngsters on the bench and then IF we're in a very comfortable position around the hour mark, bring them on.
