Surely you can't pin this one on the owners?
We have a strong team out but are playing a very rigid and negative formation that means we cannot get on the ball
Can and will. Too many occurrences for it not to be a trend.

It's like none of you have watched the FA Cup at times.

Gillingham, biggest game of their season (potentially) in front of the cameras, potential of an upset, crowd probably the most lively they'll be all season, players looking to make a name for themselves, playing on adrenaline levels above what would be if they were home to Tranmere, it's the perfect storm for a lower league side to play with their tails up.

They won't be able to keep this up, we only need one or two moments of quality to win this game.

Our players are nervous, based on the last few seasons in the cup, who can blame them, how some of you can pin this first half display on the manager is beyond me.

Here's to a steady more controlled second half, where our quality will hopefully surpass their enthusiasm.

Negative 5-4-1. Ref is a disgrace yet again, I long for a game where we get a biased referee in our favour. How was their defender not sent off when Haller was clean through? Not even a booking

f***'s might be a blessing in disguise. He is not good enough imo. Just hope Ben Johnson is or we get someone in ready for Fridays game.

Typical cup game away at lower league opposition.

Their biggest game of the season so they go at it at 100mph, pitch looks bit bumpy, ball spending more time in the air than on the ground etc...

The ball players need to get more involved - there were some glimpses of that towards the end of the half.
Trouble with the formation is the ball players can't get involved.
Rice sitting i front of three CBs. Two wing backs hugging the touch line but not pushing on. Haller not offering any movement.
Basically means the midfield gets overrun and lanzini, Snoddy and Anderson are hardly powerhouses.

As an aside. Watching this in 4K via the BT app (got an offer for £10 for the month , via their £25 a month no contract, cancelled straight away as not paying £25, but impressed). Watching on Samsung TV.
I’m watching it the same way but my stream is buffering more than I’d hope, assume this isn’t happening to yours?

Out of interest are you watching the app on a smart tele which is connected to your WiFi?

Midfield look outnumbered and half-hearted. Barely noticed Lanzini. In fact that's been his whole season so far. A shell of the player from a couple of seasons ago. No shots on goal in 45 mins v Gillingham is pretty crap, but we always play crap in these games. Hopefully pick it up second half.

Not sure what people were expecting? We’re away in the cup against lower league opposition in a run of form.

Of course it was going to be in the air and in our faces. We’ve weathered the storm. Hopefully we put this to bed now.

It was never going to be pretty.

No issues for me. But I have 360mb virgin and wired Ethernet (cat 6 and decent switches) . Wi-fi is the devil!

After someone put salt in my tea earlier, I don’t think I can handle another cup upset

He was doing his best Carlton Cole impression (it did bobble a bit to be fair)

Disgraceful miss from Haller. Should do no worse than get that on target. But IMO it was more easier to score than miss.

Haller doing his best Antonio impression, booting the ball into orbit 3 ft away from goal.
