Much better second half, and to be fair that pitch is shocking..

Moyes played 2 won 2 scored 6 conceded 0.. Keep it up.

Let's have a moment of appreciation for Pablo Fornals.. Brilliant player. :scarfer:

That was a professional job second half and it was good to see us being professional against a lower tier team who were always going to be tough to beat as these teams always are when they're up for it and out to get us

For whatever it's worth, I thought our improvement came when Zabaleta came on.

Experienced head, helped settle the nerves, perhaps?

Some of the most biased officiating I've seen outside of a Liverpool game.

A textbook FA Cup performance, especially considering it was away. Don’t know what some people want. He played a full strength team and took the competition seriously and some were complaining we didn’t play the reserves!

Crouchie, how would you rate our second half versus our first?

👍

Professional is the word - not pretty but professional which has been rare for us in the Cups over recent years.

One mans professional is another mans mind numbingly boring.

Useless, ****, rubbish (pick one ) Lanzini had 87% pass completion, the highest on the pitch. As I get older I’m convinced I watch a different game to most on here. He was effective tonight.

Site is very slow, so for some reason it posted twice

No-one answered my 'who was the captain?' question though!

Absolutely.

Fabianski solid too, he just makes the ball stick. Must be so reassuring playing in front of a keeper like that.

A decent win in the end.

The positives from today:
- Moyes signalled his intent to do well in the cup.
- We dealt with the arial threat very well for a change.
- We showed we can dig in and scrap it out.
- Fornals continues his impressive recent form.
- Anderson looks like he might be slowly turning the corner.
- We are in the hat for the fourth round!

The negatives:
- In an attacking sense the first half was very poor.
- Fredricks will be out for at least 6 weeks.
- Haller’s miss.
- Lanzini completely anonymous.

Yes, because you want to be playing fancy football. Away against a League One side in the third round. Winning the match was all that mattered.

Yep! Dreadful.

If he ever refs a cup game Scousers v lower league he'll need explicit instructions or his fackin head will explode with doubt

Solid job tonight. Only downside was Fredericks doing his hammy; let's hope it's not too bad.

Arfur didn't have his best day going forward but I thought we looked comfortable enough in the new formation.

Lanzini did better today defensively than I have seen all season, but Snodders didn't do much.

Job done. Roll on Sheffield United.
