Best pubs for Hammers (in order from station to ground)...

The Howard - The Globe - The Graduate - The Head of Steam.

The Copthorne is a decent & cheapish stay if Easy ain’t an option
This (The Copthorne) was built by Sheffield United with the Tevez money. It's the main reason they were in lower divisions for so long as the money went on this rather than the team.

Rutland Arms and the pub at the station are great real ale pubs should you fancy a decent drink!

FWIW the pubs I've mentioned are the ones designated for travelling fans (as per SYP intel).

The club are now providing free return coaches for this...

It’s almost as if they read this forum

Free coach travel, three days before the game when 99% of people will have sorted their arrangements already.

Classic West Ham United.

Anyone would think there's a protest on the horizon.

How is it that what is categorised by the police as a high risk fixture can be arranged for a Friday night with no trains home for TV money?

A last minute half empty coach is cheap at the price to stave off publicity if someone gets hurt.

Here's a challenge to GSB, as we know they monitor these threads..... How about starting the goodwill by laying on transport?

It’s all too late boss, driving arrangements are made and hotels have been booked.

They deserve very little praise for this, if any. Their hand has clearly been forced into doing something they really didn't want to by the authorities, it's far too little too late.

I'm no fan of GSB
& it is a bit late, but anyone who hasn't booked a room can save on fuel.
Just saying.

The fixture and train time tables have been known for a couple of months and the club announce free coaches 4 days before kick off?

Is this some kind of joke we're not in on?

If there is trouble up there (let's hope not), you can see the headlines now, West Ham Utd laid on free coaches but were ignored by the "fans" who were hell bent on trouble because of a misdemeanor by a previous regime.

Jesus H Christ. We are being run worse than a circus. Did they have a board meeting after the Gillingham Game and a point on the agenda was Next fixture: Sheff Utd. Oh says Sully, haven't this club got a bit of history with Sheffield. Anyone have ideas. I know says the baroness, let's put suggestion boxes around the place and see what the staff think. Or we could have a think tank. Best answer gets published Tuesday afternoon.

The amount of money generated from Sky, this should be the least they could do for away fans, for every away game.
