FA Cup 3rd Round Matches

Post by thejackhammer » Sat Jan 04, 2020 12:24 pm

Burnley and especially Newcastle have put out strong teams in their games today!

Hope to see a few Premier League sides get knocked out early.

Burnley 2-0 up in no time, decent confidence boost for them.

Millwall 1-0 against Newport.

Newcastle 1-0 up v Rochadale

BT Sport might be regretting choosing that game though. Chants Of "Robbie Savage is a ****er" and "Your just a **** Alan Shearer" coming through loud and clear.

Newcastle could run riot here. This is barely a contest.

Credit to the Rochdale boss. Made a change early in the first half and since then Newcastle haven’t been as threatening. Their original right back was getting roasted by Atsu.

Brilliant changes by that manager. Substitute right back sets up substitute striker. 1-1 and Newcastle might be a little nervous.

Wall off on another F A Cup venture. Excellent cup side and one definitely to be avoided should we go through tomorrow

Newcastle must be a bit gutted with that, they had a pretty strong team out, Newcastle not looking amazing recently

Now who was it that said they hoped we'd draw the winner of Boston Utd / Rochdale ?
Nailed on banana skin for us!

Why would any West Ham fan want to avoid our biggest rivals who we don't get to play anywhere near enough. :?

West Ham v Millwall in a cup competition is the dream and a fantastic tie.

Then again Puff you are forever telling us who we need a to avoid, which seems to be pretty much every single team going.

You are an odd ball Puff.

Probably just me but so annoyed AFC Flyde game not picked for TV as one club that could actually do with TV revenue from a game like this.

I'm an odd ball am I ? :asleep: Agee it would add a bit of extra spice, but they are am excellent cup side and although they've never won it, they have wonderful FA Cup tradition and fighting qualities and usually make latter stages of this most years. They will be a match for most teams but because its me, I dare say you will disagree about this too

Preston 0-3 Norwich
Watford 3-0 Tranmere

Wonder if we can have it so easy tomorrow.

Who cares about other teams league form or cup traditions. It's the FA Cup and anything can and normally does happen.

Just enjoy it no matter who we get.

No I don't understand why any West Ham would not want to play Millwall. If you cant look forward to playing (if we were to ever get them) your biggest rivals in a cup competition then what is the point of even being a football fan in the first place.

Every year we get you saying who you want to avoid, the way you have talked about Gillingham since we drew them you would think we are taking on real Madrid.
