No introduction needed for this one really.

Tom McAllister
Wayne Quinn
Don Hutchison
Martin Peters RIP
Jon Harley
Ravel Morrison

I live 10 miles from the ground my hatred for this team was born years before Carlos Tevez played there in a 3-0 defeat

Along with Danny Webber doing a passable impersonation of Seb Haller at 45 minutes 37 seconds yesterday in the last 5 minutes of the Wigan game

Tony Currie

A decent enough player but he cost STB a number of England caps.

My connection is very simple
my surname is Blades.

having lived in lincoln my whole life and supported west ham since I was a kid.
I had no idea Sheffield united were known as the blades until I was about 10 years old.

I have to admit that if I had known this at age 8 when west ham became my team, its possible I could been a blades fan.

geographically there a lot closer for me so who knows what might have been.

The one thing I can guarantee is I would of been just as frustrated supporting them as us.
Neither club has exactly covered themselves in glory over the last 40 years or so.
I probably just about got the better deal supporting us.

Ah!! Tony Currie. Forget he played for them, he was a terrific player. I recall one match at UP against them, back in the 70"s and he absutely destroyed us single handed my. I remember a red top banner headline the next day ' Hot Currie'

Tony Currie, great player from the 70s, his nephew Darren came through our Academy and liked to bleach his hair
