Figured I’d watch Diangana vs Allen tonight.

Diangana lasted 3 minutes. Down injured. No contact. Looks to have done his back again.
And Allen has been very good. Tigerish tackling

Sounds like the sort of player we need.

Just a question about VAR & penalty’s
Man City just had a penalty saved by the Sheff Utd keeper who was off his line .....shouldn’t VAR have made it be retaken ?

VAR only applies to Liverpool

They only check goals, offsides, red cards and mistaken identity. They were pulling up goalies in the Women's World Cup last year and it was absurd. 1cm off the line stuff.

Currently, Watford, Bournemouth and Saints winning. I think Saints have probably hauled themselves clear now, although they could slip back into it, but f*** knows where this leaves us now, apart from deeper into the brown stuff. The league table, if GSB ever look at it, is not going to make very good reading for them tomorrow

I think they mentioned on a game earlier in the season (on sky or BT) that VAR only checks for encroachment on penalties and not whether the goalkeeper is off his line. I know, I know. :eh:

Is this become the Tuesday night results thread too?

If so, results are mixed so far...

Yes, but Villa are losing, and Brighton are getting dragged into it. It is extremely tight at the bottom, as my proctologist used to say...

Ha - Watford is an even bigger basket case than we are. And what is Nigel’s highest ever Premier League finish?
