West Ham Utd 0-2 Liverpool (29/01/20)

Post by badabing »

0-3. They`ll score around the 20 minute mark, add the 2nd to finish the game just before half time, then coast the 2nd half scoring the 3rd with 10 mins left.
Klopp will be happy he won`t need to employ his high tempo press in this one, a gentle nudge should do it against our leaden footed midfield.

I was thinking this would be Liverpools easiest game of the season, then realised we have to go to their gaff in a few weeks!
Exciting times.

Im dreading this. Hopefully they will play it easy but it could be 7 or 8 if they fancied it.

I reckon this lot could start with ten men and still easily beat us.

We appear to still be reliant on Zabaleta, who even Divock Origi will run rings around (if Mane cannot play). Salah against Cresswell or Masuaku, likewise. Firmino's movement and application will have both, or even three centre backs tied up in knots from first to last whistle.

Klopp could rest one or both of Henderson and Fabinho and still watch his other midfielders teach ours how to play the game. His full backs will have their respective sides of the pitch to themselves, for some light training and drills.

Again, in their defence, Lovren and Gomez could easily be the pairing.

1-0 Irons, of course.

I honestly, wholeheartedly believe we will win this 1-0. There is absolutely no possible way we can even get a draw against Liverpool atm, let alone a win. So we will win.

We lose the reverse fixture 4-0 mind you.

Football can throw up some strange results...please God let this be one of those nights.

Hope the players show a bit of passion and hunger. Come out the blocks quicker after today's result and give us fans something to cheer.

Wonder if any of our injured players make it back?

Will moyes go with 3 at the back??

Could we get mega thrashed .

Highest Home losing margin 6

West Ham United 0 Sheffield Wednesday 6, 08.12.1951
West Ham United 2 Blackburn Rovers 8, 26.12.1963

What with all the scousers in the home seats and having taken over block 217 too, it could be the worse night ever under lights

If it was West Ham of old I'd be more positive that they'd man up and get stuck in but most of this lot and the manager give me zero confidence

Agreed.

This could get really nasty. I'm just going to pretend this fixture doesn't exist for the moment, probably similar to the approach our players are taking.

They’re definitely there for the taking.

What we need to do is attack them early, preferably a couple of hours before the game officially starts. Get a few goals in before they’ve warmed up and then defend like there’s no tomorrow.

On a single kick basis, how close do you reckon Sanchez would need to be to the goal to be absolutely certain of scoring into an empty net?

i'd quite like to attend this one just for the catharsis of watching it in a crowd but never in my right mind would i pay a penny for the priviledge.

we might win it, but if we do, we will certainly go down in a perfectly west ham narrative.
