Step forward West Ham! Now I'm more worried than I originally thought!

If the defence can NOT be so shambolic for just 90 odd minutes and the midfield be reasonably compact and attack minded then this will be a win.
Well, we average a mistake(leading to goal) every other game. Just recently, from memory, we had that Masukau/Noble mixup against Liverpool, the fluffed header from Ogbonna in the middle of our third leading to the 3rd(4th?) goal from Leicester and that Martin/Balbuena miscommunication at Sheffield.

That's why I don't buy this more hard graft nonsense, I'll rather everyone emulated Payet's lackadaisical style all day every day if it meant we don't have constant brain farts without the ball, and more control on the ball when we do have it. I would rather our players be more clinical in front of goal rather than trying to prove their 'paushon' to the fans by chasing shadows. Passion and effort is to be expected, but we're not getting out of this mess without the players showing their quality.

We simply have to win this game.

Somehow every player has to believe they can put in a dominant performance over their direct opponent and ensure that the team takes the three points. An insipid, half-hearted,error-strewn defeat will lead to certain relegation, and I’m always loathe to make such an absolute statement before January is even out.

I hope not, I will be traveling down on the overnight National Express from Dundee for this. It will only be my second game of the season and currently my success rate is 100% - the previous game being Man Utd back in September.
A draw is no good and defeat would almost definitely be a fatal blow. We simply have to win, no if's or but's.

3-5-2: Fabianski; Diop, Ogbonna, Cresswell; Ngakia, Lanzini, Soucek, Rice, Masuaku; Antonio, Haller.
Subs: Randolph, Balbuena, Zabaleta, Noble, Snodgrass, Fornals, Ajeti.

Charge! Lanzini has been poor on the ball but he got into some decent positions last night whereas Fornals is struggling to understand his role under Moyes. Fornals to come on for Antonio and play as a 10 after an hour. Noble for Lanzini on 75. Zabaleta to replace goalscoring hero Ngakia for the final five.

In a midfield three, I'd opt for Snodgrass over Fornals and Lanzini. He always looks more like scoring a goal than the other two, and we've just bought a player who's a massive threat from set-pieces.

3-1 to us.

Are we allowed to use the term "Six-pointer"?

They are satisfied with a draw
We need to win

They have been struggling of late
We have been struggling of late

They have a couple of injuries
Our best creative player, and most unpredictable attacker is sidelined at the moment

We'll need to see something special from our midfield in this game. Both going forward and defending.

A nervy 1-0 with Rice getting the winner.

Soucek for Noble, Fornals for Lanzini, and I'd be tempted with Antonio for Haller too, if fit.

have to win, and if we have the momentum etc, have to go out to get as many goals as possible...

i know winning isnt a given, but goal difference wise, the 2 games after could be a bit of a nightmare, and we will need a bit up our sleeve!

I predict 2 changes. Zaba Antonio.

Sow check will be on the bench. Moyes said fans will need to be patient and give him time.

I suspect he has had very little to do with his receuitment.

Razzle dazzle. Pardon?

You're welcome Dave.

Yep, nice balance to this side. Fornals performance crucial.An even more adventurous line up would be unleashing Ajeti and Fornals (this years Hartson and Kitson);

No Zabaleta for this one, please.

Playing against him is a dream for any left full-back. Don't remember when was the last time he tried to pass the ball forward or make a run.

Ngakia was decent yesterday considering he was up against the best team in Europe. He deserves a chance in a game where he'll have much more opportunities to show us what he can do.

We'll have to score at least 2 as Glen Murray is guaranteed one.

It's been said before, make or break time. Cut out stupid errors, plenty of fight and determination and we can win this. Having Fab back in goal is like having 4 new, better signings.

Ngakia was caught the wrong side / lost his man a couple of times but I think he's done enough to retain his place, showed some decent attacking intent.

A victory for Brighton. Nothing less will do.

One step closer to relegation and ‘serious financial consequences’

Let’s see what opposition ‘superstars’ GSB will be advertising as coming to the OS next season, or what Brady is going to have to write about in her newspaper column every weekend

Assuming the only player ready to be added is Soucek (so no Antonio or Fredericks) I'd go with:

------------------Fab----------------
Zaba----Diop-------Ogbonna-------Masuaku

-------Soucek---------Rice---------------
--------------Fornals------------

Lanzini-----Haller-------Snodgrass

Bench:Cresswell, Ngakia, Ajeti, Cardoso, Randolph, Balbuena, Noble
Glad you're not the manager... Noble was probably our best player on the pitch last night and you don't want to see him in the team. Yet Lanzini was easily our worse player and you put him in your starting XI?

This game calls for men who want to battle... So Noble, Rice, Antonio and Snodders are the first names on the team sheet.

I will go against the grain and include Zabaleta I think Moyes will play a back four, we need to win, draws won't do now. Having Fab back is a great boost. Moyes believes Lanzini will come good so I think he will go for this line up assuming Antonio is fit. He probably will keep Noble as he won't want to drop his captain in a do or die relegation battle. Snods to replace Noble or the Czech when one of them gets tired and Masuaku for Antonio or Lanzini ditto.

I see us winning this well and Haller getting a bit of support will help him get on the score sheet. COYFI :scarfer:

We might just scrape a draw, but I don't think so. Championship here we come. GSB will have a lot of explaining to do in May
