If we set up like we did last night we’ll lose by 7 or 8. No way that Liverpool let us off the hook like Man City (particularly Jesus).

I really couldn't care less any more. Noble, Snodgrass, Moyes, the owners have sucked the ****ing life out of me

I'd pick the team we intend to go with against Southampton so they can play 1 game together:
----------------------------------Fabianski------------------------------------
-Fredericks/Ngakia---------Diop------Ogbonna-----------Cresswell-
--------------------------------Rice-------Soucek------------------------------
-----------------------------------Snodgrass------------------------------------
-Bowen---------------------------Antonio----------------------Anderson-
Subs: Randolph, Ngakia/Johnson, Balbuena, Masuaku, Noble, Fornals, Haller.
IF Fredericks is't 100% don't risk him and save him for Southampton, as he has turned into a bit of a sick-note as it is. Go with Ngakia instead and replace him on the bench with Johnson (if fit). Just anyone other than Zabaleta please.

if they obliterate our goal difference in the first half, we might get to see a game of football for the second.
not that they're that kind of team for the most part at the moment. they'll happily take the 2-0 that moyes has offered them in a lipstick sealed envelope.

Moyes wont play Fornals who must have said something and Moyes wont play 3 offensive. If Moyes values Noble and Snods experience to keep us up then he must rest them for this game.
Back 4 with the young lad up against Mane and Robertson again. he must be thinking the only time i am asked to play is against the fastest left side in the league. He isn,t picked for easier games. Diop and Oggy with Cress . Cant be bothered about the rest as it wont make a difference either way. City made us look like traffic cones and Liverpool are 20 points plus ahead of them.

Liverpool are unbeaten all season in the league, they're going to absolutely batter us, no formation, team selection or anything is going to change that at this point. Wake me when it's over.

Re: ⚽ Liverpool v West Ham United:Match thread (24/02)
The are better in almost every aspect.
Not a single player of ours would make it into their starting lineup. There are a number who wouldn’t even make the bench. Their manager is one of the very best in Europe. Ours is a Merry-Go-Round man deemed insufficient for our purposes in 2018 only to be rehired in 2019. They have a better overall footballing business model, a better stadium, and a better sense of goodwill amongst the fans. They could win the PL with a record number of points. We could be relegated. In the last decade they have been able to see Coutinho, Suarez etc leave, and still improve. They have been able to sell young players like Ibe for good profit. They have young players like Ryan Kent and Harry Wilson playing high level football. They are current European and World Champions.
I’m no fan of Liverpool and enjoyed seeing them scrabbling around over the last twenty years (including the jokes about Gerrard’s Lack of PL medals, which clearly annoyed the fans), but in the context of modern football, they have been a bit of a diamond in the rough.
Getting Snodders, Noble, Masuaku, Cressers, Oggy, Antonio, Fredricks or Zabaleta to play “backs to the wall” against these guys will mean defeat, and on a particularly brutal day, it could be a bad defeat.

Re: ⚽ Liverpool v West Ham United:Match thread (24/02)
For different reasons, I don't want to see either Noble or Masuaku play in this match, perhaps again this season even. They are both a liability that we just can't afford now. Mark is finished, it's not just that he is in such bad form but mostly that he just doesn't have the physical capability of playing in this league. As for Arthur, I've had enough of holding my breath every time he is trying, in vain, to defend.
