Harry Kane
I thought I'd start this thread due to the thread on the general discussion being locked by a mod who seems to not be sharing the feel good factor of England finally winning a penalty shoot out, inspired by this man's captains performance.
Anyway as we were, apparently Kane is only worth £40m and doesn't do much apart from score the odd goal...... thoughts?

Re: Harry Kane
Tell me about it, we had a good discussion going and then the thread gets locked, rather pedantic moderating to say the least.somerset-hammer wrote:Yeah what's all that about?

Tbf I was releaved- was running out of credible reasons why Ashton would've been as good as Kane

It breaks my heart thinking about Deano, he really was the real deal.Faithless wrote:Tbf I was releaved- was running out of credible reasons why Ashton would've been as good as Kane

Tristan had certainly run out of reasons for Kane only being worth £40m :lol:Faithless wrote:Tbf I was releaved- was running out of credible reasons why Ashton would've been as good as Kane

I honestly think he was - no rationale for it just a gut feeling he'd have go on to be outstandingsomerset-hammer wrote:It breaks my heart thinking about Deano, he really was the real deal.
Yeah, he did go a touch quiet  £40m for a 40+ goals a season striker...even sully couldn't turn that deal down......stu1 wrote:Tristan had certainly run out of reasons for Kane only being worth £40m

Re: Harry Kane
I really rated Ashton as well, genuinely gutting we never got to see how good he was over a long period, the fact he was able to hold his own in the Premiership while in pain and having limited mobility says everything though. Sure he sees a lot of himself in Kane.

What a weird questionBillydinho wrote:Would you give him a round of applause if we won the World Cup?
Lineker and Gazza playing for Spurs after Italia 90 meant nothing. Why would anyone NOT cheer the bloke if England won the World Cup?

Re: Harry Kane
I think the problem is more often that both with Spurs, and with England, there doesn't appear to be a viable alternative of similar type - so he gets run into the ground. He looked knackered against Sweden, and looked the same last night.Centre Half wrote:Great player.
I think there's a bit of the flat track bullies about him though
