Re: Official Betting Thread
Poppy Bridgwater is a claimer I rate highly but she did give an odd ride to Swanton Blue last time where he was in a 5f class 5 race running off 67. He looked to be making progress but then she seemed to not give full effort and the horse finished weakly.
It now looks like that might have been a handicap job as he is rated 65 now, dropping into a class 6 race off top weight. He's also back to his favoured 6 furlongs. Is below last winning mark, c+d winner. Current best price 10/1 - some places are paying 5 places but have worse odds.
I got him on Paddypower an hour ago at 11/1 paying 5 places 1/5 odds and he's now 15/2 on there so some big bets must have gone in

Broome for me today in The Irish Derby.
Also, at bigger prices and worthy of each way value, picked out the following:
York 2 45: Lake Volta 11/1
Newcastle 3.00: Lissitzky 11/1
Newcastle 3.34: Time to Study 10/1
Finally, Charlie Wallis is travelling over 250 miles to Chester with just one runner in the last race with King Robert, so worthy of a few quid IMO.
Good luck everyone and hoping the sunshine brings some much needed luck today

This is NOT a tip but just something I find interesting and makes you think ....
Yorkshireman David Allan rode 3 horses at Newcastle last night, then travels down to Newmarket for ONE ride on Saturday afternoon before FLYING up to Doncaster for 3 rides on Saturday evening
3.50 Newmarket - Wells Farhh Go

8.20 Epsom - Amangiri 50/1
Poppy the jockey messaged me and said her dad has something good from Germany, didn't say which horse but this one is a German import. Won three times over there. Has been ridden by Mickael Barzalona who's a derby winner.... derby winners wouldnt usually ride **** horses like these so he must have some sort of talent, worth a wild punt on British debut

It's mostly 33s now so at least you got value even if he does come last :lol:djbubbles wrote:Done e/w at 66/1. Love this sort of thing
Thx r99c
I just had £15 on Mega Double at 3/1 in the Perth opener and put a £5 forecast on him first and Put the Law On You (33/1) second, boom it came in easily, 10 lengths first to second then another ten lengths to the others, nice boost after a horrendous run. Let's hope Poppy can do the business later.

He’s protesting, he’s too good for his handicap mark and he knows it
edit- I just messaged Poppy on Instagram saying this as a joke, she replied saying ''he goes hurdling now, he'll win'' - so get him in your tracker boys!

I don't have a scooby about gambling, but can someone tell me how I can get a bet on West Ham finishing highest among the London clubs this season?

I dont think you can.DasNutNock wrote:I don't have a scooby about gambling, but can someone tell me how I can get a bet on West Ham finishing highest among the London clubs this season?
I have a few quid on West Ham to finish top 4 at 50/1.
I have quite a big bet on us to finish top 6 at 11/1.
I think 11/1 is great value as Leicester are 100/30 and Everton are only 7/2
