Ryder Cup plus Prediction Comp

So, the Ryder Cup is upon us once more, this time round in the Yank's backyard at Hazeltine. Really varied teams this time round, the Yanks stuffed with experience, Europe fielding six rookies. Hate to say it but I feel this might be a bridge too far for the Europeans, but I said that before Medinah in 2012 and we all know how that turned out...

Anyway, prediction comp is running for this one. Rules shortly, first the two teams in full. The Americans will be making their final pick in the next few hours so you may want to hold off before choosing your team!

Points are as follows:

Fourballs and foursomes appearance - 2 pts.

Fourballs and foursomes half - 2 pts

Fourballs and foursomes win - 5 pts

Singles half - 5 pts

Singles win - 10 pts

Correct score - 10 pts.

No late entries please, comp closes an hour before the first ball is struck. I have quite a lot going on at the moment so updates may be sporadic, but I will try and get the final scores up ASAP after the conclusion of the tournament.

I agree, the Yanks will also draw heavily on the inspiration of Arnie Palmer's passing in the same way Europe came together after Ballesteros' sad death. I would love to be wrong, but I feel they will have the edge this time.
