It's good to see courses getting money put into them as is only good for the game

Played brentwood yest which is getting money thrown at it

Only hole that was in bad nick was the par 5 11th it had drainage being cut through fair way but somehow avoided it (and the fairway entirely) and made par

35 points just missed a par on 18 which would have made it 36 but very happy with that

Apart from Thorndon (which is stupid money unless you know member) then its 100% my fave course around these parts

25 min drive from hornchurch

£25 a round

It's one I would consider membership at and their new flexi membership £400 ish for 20 rounds is very reasonable

Plus it's a joy to play

apart from 17 lol

Who on here is a member at a club?

For me, its a no brainer if you find the track you like. Ive been a member at Peterborough Milton for 6 years, best course for miles around and love the benefits.

I'm a member at Ashford Manor, been there about 4 years now. I was at Laleham for about 3 years before that, unfortunately Laleham closed down. really enjoy the membership and the opportunity to play in competitions and have a proper handicap.

Umm and ahh about it now and again but I enjoy playing random courses

Hainaults membership appeals 200 a year just covers the membership part not green fees

Then you can be free to go around without wasting your membership

Recently joined a course 3 other members of my family play at which is currently a 5 minute drive from home and work. Get out most Sunday mornings and plenty more in the summer. No brainer if you want to commit to a handicap, getting better and playing comps. We have half a dozen reciprocals which we can play for free or a minimal green fee.

Well done ladies
Europe won the last three singles matches to seal a sensational 14½-13½ Solheim Cup victory over the United States at Gleneagles.

Bronte Law, who moments earlier won her match on the 17th, sprinted up the 18th fairway to join the celebrations after wildcard pick Suzann Pettersen holed an eight-foot putt on the last to win the trophy.

"She got a bit of stick for getting that pick, but it shows she was the right one," said Europe captain Catriona Matthew.

"For it to come down to the last game was amazing. I could barely watch, it's far worse watching.

"Everyone will remember that final putt but we had to get there. It's been a great week, with great performances throughout the team."

played maylands yesterday - birdied the 9th hole and was 15 over par

was taking my tee shot on the 11th (i think) when we heard an almighty crash, and one of the large trees came down onto the green, just missing a 4 ball and one of the blokes dad and young son in a buggy, crushed his trolley and clubs though but they were very lucky indeed.

then when we were on the 17th another large tree came down on the 16th - but we didnt see that just heard it
