Ricky Fowler's in the mix now too. Could we'll win it. 5 way tie for first now. Nail biting stuff and great TV

One for the history books. He’s a man with great mental fortitude. He’s still a sh*theel, but he’s a legend.

Re: The Masters plus Prediction Comp
That is some sporting story.
Regardless of his personal life, and all the scandal, what he has done today is right up there with the all time greatest sportsman.
I mean he was a great before, but to come back, after all those surgeries, all those lost years when he was written off as done, just incredible.
His mental strength today, just like Djokovic, one of the all time mentally toughest sportsmen ever.

Simply incredible. Never thought he would win another major after all his injury problems but he's proved me and lot of others wrong.

Deserves all the grief aimed at him for the way he acted towards his family.
Deserves all the praise he will get for his sporting resolve. It looked impossible to get back from where he was.
Also after 20 years he looks like he is enjoying it again. Whether that will go again with the loss of freedom this win will bring remains to be seen.
Terrific last day all in all.

Re: The Masters plus Prediction Comp
Just finished watching it. Had to pause it for a while, which is how I'm a bit behind. Incredible outcome. Two years ago I said Woods would never win another tournament when he plummeted down the rankings. Thought his back problems would send him into early retirement. Winning that tournament last year proved me wrong, but to win another Major is an incredible achievement. Got to feel for Molinari after finding the drink twice on the back 9. Would have loved to see him win seeing as he was my only European pick in the prediction competition. Congratulations to Tiger though, on what was superb entertainment on Masters Sunday. Roll on the next Major!

Re: The Masters plus Prediction Comp
What a final day. When Tiger slipped to 1199 in the world a couple of years ago I don't think anyone would have been confident of him winning another Major. An extraordinary story.
Now onto the comp. Tiger's bogey on the last meant that 5 players had the correct winning score. Unfortunately it wasn't enough for any of them to win.
Justin Rose was a problem for a lot of players, missing the cut messed up a lot of scores and led to a runaway winner.
In 3rd place was Pablo Jaye with 42 points.
2nd was mumbles87, 1 point ahead with 43.
And our winner with a bumper score of 51 points was Johnny Byrne's Boots. 4 players at 10 under or better was easily enough to take the title. Very well done.
Full scores:
51 - Johnny Byrne's Boots
43 - mumbles87
42 - Pablo Jaye
37 - Sicknote
35 - SammyLeeWasOffside, Vladikovkaz
33 - Polaroid
31 - Westhameggyandchips
29 - R99c
28 - Clacton
26 - VM, NT Hammer
25 - CRFC Hammer, ChickenRunSupreme
24 - SoulCircus, NeathIron
18 - Southend
16 - Monkey Mike
14 - WestHamDave1
11 - Row X, Hessa
5 - Psychoscoredthelot
Thanks to all for playing. See you back here for the Open in a couple of months!

Re: The Masters plus Prediction Comp
Look forward to the next one. Stewards enquiry into this one though SoulCircus, think you've been too kind to me, I get 20 as my total, unless I've missed something. Damn you JB Holmes for having a mare today, I don't care if you won a tournament I backed you in at 100/1 a few weeks ago, today's performance was unacceptable! Well done to Johnny Byrne's Boots for top predictions.SoulCircus wrote:What a final day. JBB / Souly
Never thought Tiger would win another major, has to go down as one of the great sporting comebacks.
Gutted for Francesco! Was it pressure, or just a little bit of bad luck!?!?
Another year of mid table mediocrity for me...

****ing sky obsessed with him or in football only the big teams , it really does affect enjoyment of it
Why on earth would you NOT watch it on the BBC?!
Besides, personally, I've loved watching Woods this weekend. What an absolute legend.

Apologies, I'll have a look into this when I get home. I did tot up the scores quite quickly last night so I could well have made a mistake. Will confirm later.neathiron wrote:Stewards enquiry into this one though SoulCircus, think you've been too kind to me, I get 20 as my total, unless I've missed something.

Well done JBB.
Someone has to come in the relegation spots, and that was me, bloody Rose and Garcia
Cheers SC for running and scoring.
