I'm not too familiar with some of the rules but didn't get the 6 we got for the run that came off the batsman unintentionally. Was it a 4 for the boundary plus the 2 for the actual run?.

I used to play cricket as a teen but didn't realise until today that if you are run out,the completed runs before that still count! Bloody 'ell.

A win is a win I suppose, but whichever way you look at it that's a bit if a hollow victory. Both sides has identical scores, only one lost 9 wickets, the other was all out in reaching that target Then, both sides scored 15 runs in their 'Super over', only one side didn't lose any wickets, but the other had one man out, so they decide to nominate the winner by awarding the trophy to the side who scored more boundaries. I'm afraid I can't get very excited about it

Both sides know the rules as the start, it is no different to penalty shoot outs. There has to be a way when sides are level.

So a run completed when hitting a 4 will still earn 5? You don't seem to see any of them even though some of the longer 4s seem timely enough to nick a quick single too.

No, a run plus an over-throw will count together. The 4 was an overthrow...

That was absolutely insane. I can't remember a game in any sport with quite so many twists and turns. Incredible balls from Stokes and Archer - well played lads.

With the 6 - the additional 4 is treated as overthrows unless the batsman intentionally obstructs the field. Down to the fielder to get the throw right regardless of how harsh it is!

Warne struggling to give England any credit on TV now. Part of the joy of us winning anything is how salty some of the comments from other nationalities will be.

Cricket is so much better when the bowlers have a bit of a chance.

Terrific game, not sure how NZ managed to lose it though. Stokes was tremendous, wont take much to flatten him in the nightclub tonight :)

He's normally pretty even-handed in his appraisal of England's performances, but can't be a huge surprise he's got a pole up his arse today.
