I only caught the end of the Tonga game but looked like they enjoyed themselves at least.

Wales have been really disjointed first half. Dropping the ball at crucial times. Can tell they’ve put out nearly a whole new team. Although saying that, Uruguay have been superb defensively to a man. Showing other nations how to tackle.

So disappointed Scotland didn't get kicked out due to their game not being played - the burning injustice that would have caused in Scotland would have been a joy to watch. :D

So, as it is, come on Japan !!!!!

Bloody hell.

I bet Scotland are wishing their game was cancelled right now.

28-7 now but Scotland need to score 3 more tries to get a BP and win by 7 to deny Japan a BP to go through.

These Japanese players are relentless. So intense. Some of their handling has been outstanding as well. 28 unanswered points since they have settled. Brilliant rugby.

I'd have a worldwide 2 or 3 div championship (the current tournament has shown that rugby fans from all over aren't exactly why when it comes to shelling out a huge pile to watch their teams).

First time I have watched Japan, I thought they were just riding on a wave of a host WC, got lucky beating Ireland etc.

They are a cracking side! Their handling at pace, off loads, is a joy to watch, plus some real pace in the side. Going to be a cracking match against SA.

I did not realise our side of the draw until yesterday, well I guess if you are going to win it you might as well do it the hard way...

Was quite amusing to see her squirm on TV this morning when Dan Walker asked her if she’d be cheering on England now!!! ‘Curmudgeonly’ was the word that sprang to mind and the ‘ABE’ attitude brazenly on display!!

A great game yesterday for Japan and a great game for rugby - the crowd created a great atmosphere and that came across on TV. I think the Saffers will win the QF - they are not coming off the back of a huge game, are on some form and will want to exorcise the memories of 2015.

ABE - Anyone But England.

There are some big units playing for the Saffers. The mobility of the Japanese could cause them one or two issues.

What did for Ireland and Scotland was their speed into the ruck after a tackle. They got quick ball for themselves and swamped the opposition when they tackled them, often getting a turnover and at least ensuring poor delivery from the ruck.
