Difficult to call this year. England still have the squad to deliver the goods but they’ll make their usual balls-up at some point and end up losing to someone they should have beaten - probably Ireland. Wales will probably win the tournament but not the slam.

A quick, probably obvious, question...

Why doesnt each team play everyone home and away?

It'd double the length of the tournament.

The Champions 42 Italy 0

Italy lucky to get nil .

This new era looks more expansive but we shall see how much we'll miss Gatland's influence but that was a nice introduction for Wayne Pivac .

Wales were playing for fun today - England will give us our biggest test -

Who will win the Six Nations Tournament ?

Wales .

Ireland looked very beatable against Scotland, who could and maybe should have won if it weren't for giving away silly penalties.

Le Crunch this afternoon, always an entertaining clash. Not pleased to read that Jones is playing the back row out of position - Lawes at 6 and Curry at 8. I know he’s short of options with so many players out, but surely there’s an English specialist 8 we can find instead of putting Curry at the base of the scrum. Much as I like Lawes, he’s a lock, not a flanker. I’m also not sold on Farrell at 12 - having him play fly half at centre just makes England more ponderous. At least he’s moving Daly to the wing, he’s never going to be a full back.

Impossible to guess what France are going to be like today, but their midfield has the firepower to dictate the play. We need our set pieces to be at their best if we’re going to get something from this and it already feels like we’re messing up the scrum.

I can't wait for the game. But have a horrible feeling we are going to get turned over today. Hope I'm wrong.

Did anyone see josh hodge's try for the u20s last night? He's got some pace.

That Shaun Edwards is a dude. Would be nice if he wasn’t constantly coaching the opposition, but can’t take anything away from him on a professional or personal level.

Looks like any concerns England might struggle were right. Base of the scrum all wrong and France’s back line looks very very quick today. Think we’re looking at a thumping now, and this one’s on Jones.

We’re all over the place, but that second try looked for all the world to be the result of a knock on.

Touched Lawes, who was in front of their 7, so definite try. Absolute pish from England & Jones.

Pathetic. France’s tactics absolutely perfect, England’s non-existent.

I still think there's enough about this England team to do well , you just need a bit of luck , something to go FOR you and not against - get that first try and you're back in the game .
