Re: Boxing thread
Going to be an interesting result. Did Quigg leave it too late? He clearly won 7-11 but what was the view on the first 6?
Split decision a possibility.

Re: Boxing thread
I liked Quigg all the way through. Always looked stronger to me but he might regret giving away those early rounds.
A draw wouldn't be the worst result here.

Quigg won't sleep tonight....he'll feel he should've won that and I agree.

The Jackal
Can't understand how 1 judge gave it to Quigg, Didn't get a glove on Frampton for the first 8, then pretty even for the rest. Only in the 11th did he have Frampton rattled.

Re: Boxing thread
Disappointing fight.
Meanwhile you've got the sheer will to fight of Anderson Silva and Michael Bisping. That was a fight.

Re: Boxing thread
Just to clarify, Frampton deserved the decision, just think that Quigg was the stronger guy and left a bit in the ring over those early rounds. They should do it again.

Anything involving Froch tbhwestham, eggyandchips wrote:When was the last time a "big fight" lived up to its billing?
Quigg did the same thing he did against Salinas and it cost him that night, did nothing for six rounds then started, bizzare tactics
Dreadful card, never worth paying for that
Re: Boxing thread
Had a great day and then night out in Manchester
The atmosphere was incredible. The crowd was very split for both fighters. Myself and the people around us only saw one winner, Frampton cruised through that fight. Even after getting tagged in the 11th, came back to win the 12th. Barely had to get out of first gear, how a judge scored it for Quigg is laughable.
The crowd were buzzing through the whole fight, but in the first 5/6 not much happened. I don't need to see a rematch. Would like to see Frampton vs Santa Cruz now if that's the fight they are looking to make. Should be an exciting fight.
I imagine Frampton is going to have to vacate one of the belts so Quigg could find himself back in the mix for a World Title soon pending the recovery on his jaw.
