It strikes me the events of the past 36 hours tell us a lot about some of the bidders. Notably, our Italian friend has reputedly been sitting on the sidelines. He doesnt make a bid until its clear that Intermarket are unable to bid at 100 million. Either because their top man has died or because they are unable to show that they have the money, or a combination of both. That sort of tells you that Cellino wasnt prepared to pay as much as Intermarket but is prepared to pay more then TF or G&S. And just as important only Intermarket and Cellino seem prepared to buy 100%. So assuming that Intermarket are unable to show that they have the money then Cellino has a clear run. If so this thing will drag on for longer than we all wish.

BTW i am not in the know and never will be. Toronto is a long way from home.

The ideal scenario is either G&S or Intermarket, i don't want Tony "stick it on my plastic" Fernandes or Massimo "ere is my other club" Cellino. G&S have proven experience at running a English team, and are easily the most experinced of those who are looking to buy. IM may have the funds, if they do, they're my second choice.

Everyone seems to write off G&S, don't be so sure.
